Yes I did march.

Sure you did, at the one in your area that happens once a year.

But did you march at the Souths march?

STSAE said:
I played, coached and have a reffs ticket.

Rugby League?

Or if someone reading your posts would think, Rugby Union.

STSAE said:
I also worked at RLW for 5yrs.

Jesus, were they that hard up back then?

STSAE said:
Your opinions are moot, cos you dont give them.

Souths are fine and I'm glad they've come out of their shell.

The Roosters are the team I believe should move to the Central Coast simply because they have a weak supporter base and share too much with the Swans and Waratahs.

Your club needs to move.

You mean those opinions?

STSAE said:
You are the troll, just here to attack those who you dislike.

Irony.

You spend your time here attacking Souths and attacking International Rugby League, and I'm the troll?

FYI, this is a Rugby League forum. Hell, you're as bad as any nuffy that follows AFL or Union in TFC.

STSAE said:
I remember you from years ago.

Why, did I make you cry?

STSAE said:
All those posts, you havent cahnged 1 little bit.

I don't remember you all that much, apart from you getting your arse torn apart in the Saints forum a while back, so I can't comment on whether you've changed.

STSAE said:
And you still offer NOTHING.

Which is still more than you offer.

Go Easts.

Equivilent of being on the front page of the Kalgoorlie local huh...?

Like what PHaC has said... It's given the players a valuable experience. Just put yourself in the players shoes. The trip has paid for itself too. 10,000 turning up to a RL game in the U.S + over 20 million people in the U.S would of heard about RL in the last month.

Anything is possible here! :D

32k to be honest.

How did you get that from my post?

Would you like a Souths fan to loan you their brain for 5 minutes so you can re-read it with something that has more IQ points than Licence points?

Who in God's name would bother "dobbing" you in?

I find it amazing that a thread that was posted to talk about how hopeless Wilson is turns into one about some clown from Easts who wants to put crap on Souths Managment for trying to do something and get some good publicity for RL in the US.
What have Eastern Suburbs ever done apart from bleed other clubs cause the did not want to know about the own juniors, the only thing they were famous in the 70s when I did my first stint in Sydney was Jones and the length of your hair.
Easts should be moved not sure where to my be Central Coast where they might have to actualy have to do something to benefit RL and themselves.
I see that Crowe is now trying to ginger up the NRL to get the pay TV who have the rights to the game in the US to show more games i suppose to STSAE will do the usual Why Bother line its all an ego trip ect and on and on I assume you think your witty but at this stage your just getting boreing,if you cant say something positive shut up.
I think you have rehashed Easts Excuses enough.

One off things like this won't do much. Sustained investment, and attempting to get some decent TV exposure (are NRL games shown on ESPN or anything, and at what hour?) could potentially gain a niche following. And if you think about it a niche following in a 200m+ population starts to sound worthwhile. If the 'Australia Day Challenge' become an annual fixture it could probably do some good things for the AMNRL. If Phonechucker really cares about the expansion of League into US markets, he'd try promoting this idea to the NRL/ESL to do every year. How about a game between the runners up of the ESL and NRL? Played in the home of a different AMNRL franchise every year, giving the team a boost and increasing local awareness and interest with some of the best clubs in the world on show.

I agree, it needs to be sustained by being an annual event. Including the Axemen or even the Tomahawks in a round robin weekend would be even better. Americans will turn up more so if their national team is playing.

One thing is clear:

We know not to come to you lot when we want something done.

You are so busy P!issing on each other you forgot about everything else, then wonder why things are so crap for you.

Anyway, you need to focus and refuse to accept these things. YOU ALL are the papers customer.....THEY WORK FOR YOU!?

Its a simple case of how you think.

When you have a purpose in life, it provides direction for you

Then:

You think.....what you think about is what you act like.....what you act like is who you become......who you become is the one single thing that determines the quality of your life.

It all starts with having a goal and thinking.

Two reasons why you still after all this time see this stuff from wilson. 1. Because someone, maybe your closest friend, is reading and accepting these stories in their reality. 2. Organizations pay the paper to put forward such stories for their own gain. One would think they oppose your favorite sport and want it to suffer. Maybe the paper took a chance because being in America, the game would be little known of in Australia, therefore with your supposed ignorance, such a story would be taken as truth. Wilson just hates league and they mucked up, blinded by her hate, and look like goofs because things didnt turn out how they thought.....but during it, they made league look bad. You choose which scenario. I know its the first. People pay money for this kind of thing. Opinion is bought in papers. All the hate coming at Wilson helps make her popular ----> you buying paper to read more of it.

Everyone's happy! Right?

Wrong....anyway again, i wrote a letter saying they didn't do their sums right. At least let them know you are ticked off. They work for you, because without you, THEY DONT EXIST.
26th January Rebbecca Wilson says attempting to expand rugby league is a futile exercise

Surely there are more financially sensible ways of making a dollar from a party other than pushing a line onto people, or creating a bias that simply is not representative of reality.

I don't know who pays who to write the things that Wilson has written about Rugby League, or how far up the line it reaches. But what I do know is this: the organization has just now recently crossed a line. No one was there to tell you or to celebrate with you your milestone. But it has come, and passed.

These false impressions writers give about topics may pay off in other areas. The war in Iraq and govt elections for example. Your paper is a business that generates advertising dollars. Congratulations. But you are in fact pushing away the rugby league audience.

I'd just like to let you in and be a fly on the wall of our thoughts. We know what happens at papers. We know about the business side of things, we all know about Murdoch and how he likes to push his views onto people. We know why Wilson writes these things. But what you dont know is we laugh at her as well as loathe her.

We are uninterested in it as much. We are not tired of these stories because of their content or the fact that they have been done 100 times before. We are tired of these stories because they take up the space of stories that may put out good vibes about rugby league.

The stories of this nature by Wilson are unattractive and repulse the long term reading and buying habits of readers. All human beings crave information But we dont need to buy your paper when we can go online. Once there, we dont even need to look in your paper. Our information comes from other free sites. I have not bought a paper for years. The only time I see the telegraph (after years of poor coverage) is when someone posts such a scathing and infactual story such as the one written by Wilson.

Is it not in your best interest to stop such stories. It may attract people in the short term. Maybe your your research was wrong. Such stories do nothing for the long term benifit of your paper. Print media is a sinking ship for its poor value. 100 pages of effort (buying it, sitting down to read it, getting rid of it, every day). You make it the poorer in our eyes for this kind of thing. Why will we come to you in the future given the sheer diversity of the internet and its web pages? We wont. And we will remember this kind of thing as the thing that drives us away from you.

Whoever is paying you to push this kind of thing is doing you a disservice on many fronts. I am sure your business is the weaker for it.

You reap what you sow. Thats a fact.

Sincerely,

****** *******

1. The Roosters kept their same colours since 1908.

2. The Roosters are still registered in the NRL as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club, only their marketing name has change, and if you ask most fans yes that pisses us off too.

3. We have been at Moore Park since 1911, you sold your soul to go to Telstra Stadium. That's really representing your area. Moore Park is on the borderline of Souths/Roosters territory.

4. SSJRLFC is set up in Kingsford, Roosters territory before it was stolen in 1954.

5. A large proportion of your team is from other clubs, not juniors.

I'm not saying we are perfect, but don't throw rocks in a glass house.

Your club will always be Eastern Suburbs to me mate. Can't knock teams for trying to earn a dollar. :D

I guess you have to prove that crap journalism doesn't sell papers.

Mark123, A bit self righteous but still you had a good go.

I am interested in building a collective negative against the biaatch also, but it seems that any publicity is good publicity. So if we all got together and sent 150 different well worded e-mails, this would only be in her favour.

Even if every LU member (approx 15 000) decided never to buy the rag any longer, I wonder if even that would show up on their target sheets?
