We thank the outgoing board members for their efforts. What is happening today is consistent with company boards renewing all over Australia. Two things were against the incumbents, viz

1. Sameness of board and staleness

2. Poor financial management well highlighted by Leabeater this week and seized upon by the media

Now the CEO......

Well done to 3P. They ran a strong campaign, were democratically elected and deserve the honour of leading our Club into the future.

All the best.

Even if this turned out to be a gigantic mistake, it's good to see that people still care enough to do SOMETHING about this situation we are in. Best of luck to the people who were elected. It's an exciting (and nerve-wracking) time to be an Eels fan.

It was a great morning at the club.

The desire for change was no more evident then when the results were announced, with the auditorium breaking into loud applause upon the final results.
The resulting press conference outside the main entrance was also supported by raucous applause at almost every comment by the newly elected board members.

This is a watershed day for the Parramatta Eels.
The new board will no doubt be aware that they are now fully accountable for the running of the football club, unlike previous years.

Next stop.............. Leagues Club, and hopefully, the eventual returning of control of our proud NRL team back to the Football Club, where it belongs.

I know people think Ovo is a great guy and all but he is WELL past it, he was a bumbling old man imo......

Sorry, but that is my opinion......

Sadly I agree with you. During the AGM he had to be pulled up on several 'errors', including awarding Daniel Wagon his life membership before a vote had even been taken (even if it was a formality).

The guy has definitely put in a lot for the club, and should be commended for that.

In saying that, he is probably also past his best, and the members voted accordingly.

Congrats to 3P on your win. Even after all these years you guys still know how to fight til the end.

One question now, what needs to happen for them to also get the leagues club?
