Recruiting Concerns

Dallas graham has always looked willing in the 20s, he is a big unit and will fill out some more. Would t surprise me if he ends up close 115kgs. Isn't one of the typical big guys who purely runs over other kids cause he has always been the biggest dude, seems to have a good work ethic and I'd always looking for hit ups coming out of our end.

By the looks of it next year we'll have woods, Galloway, Taupau, gavet, brown, sue, buchanan and graham in the top 25. Not sure if seumanifagi and lodge are under contract but I'd imagine we'd like to keep them too. Interesting to see how the squad ends up. Wonder if sue or Taupau might get a look a bit wider. I'd love sue at second row, think he could wreck havoc

Recruitment....

A tale of two halves - after the first five games you wouldn't have wanted to change any of it....

Fulton and Anasta gone....

We have a baby fullback with promise and busted legs.....

Heres my thinking.

Teddy / Rowe will cover us for FB. Yes Rowe aint FG standard, but if he was, and waiting in the wings, he would get a gig elsewhere. Hes a good back up.
On the wing, we MUST be OK after offloading Koro. Looks like Potter likes the juniors there.

Center is a massive weakness for us. Simona is a gun, but we need two......
I dont buy into the re-engineer Lawrie talk. Hes a centre. He isnt playing well. Dont re-engineer players - that was the Sheens era......

We need a strike centre.

Halves.
I would suggest everyone is happy with Brookes.
Austin plays well when there and will get a chance to make his possy his next year.

Forwards
I think we have enough meat here.
Personally I would like us to sign an outstanding forwards COACH. We had such a great forwards structure in the first part of the season. If we can get that back again, We are fine.

Tigers single biggest issue are these massive injuries we have.

My wish list:
- A decent center
- A coupla depth players
- A forwards coach
- An outstanding physio

We wont be big players in the transfer market this year. We should re-sign the decent off contracters and look for a center.

We do that Im happy.

I would have liked us to pick up Inu when he was rumored. Would actually fit our structures well and I think he needs a change of scenery.

I'm not expecting any major signings considering our financial position, we will only purchase budget buys, i guess to an extent Penrith have shown if you buy shrewdly to complement your current roster you can move forward and be competitive.

Wouldn't mind Mitch brown back, was always good for us and has been strong for Canterbury the last 2 years

I think the club has big plans for Deloiose Hoeter. I'd only seen him at wing and fullback however interestingly he has come back from injury at center (is noticeably bigger too). They could be looking at him as an option there next year, although I think long term he is being groomed as Richards replacement.

I don't think buchanan will be in the top 25 next year. gavet and sue back row maybe

Personally, I'd like to get Politoni back. He's clearly on the outer at the Sharks, stuck in NSW Cup.
Heard the teacher / coach from Holy Cross Ryde being interviewed on 2UE. Talking about the likes of Brooks, Moses, Siro and a Woods, he actually said that in his opinion, Pat Politoni was the pick of them at school. I know they didn't play together but assume the guy, teacher/coach might have a good eye for school boy league talent.

Politoni is getting game time now and is proving that he has developed even further in the last 2 seasons.

He spent some time playing in the halves in NSW Cup last year which helped his passing and kicking game immensely.

He'd be great as a Farah back-up player/bench utility.

He has a similar style of play to Farah.

We need address the problem of Robbie Farah. If we can sell him by the end of this year, we would have over $1M to splash out on a 5-star player by 2016. In 2015 however, we will need to sign an interim hooker. Viable options are Heath L'Estrange, Patrick Politoni, Travis Waddell & Matt Srama (my personal choice). All have hundreds of games FG experience between them, and are strong players. Whilst they are not as good as Robbie, at least they will not bring the club into disrepute (unless Waddell gets on the turps again, but thats another story for another day).

I think your hate for RF is clouding your judgement. He is our 5 star player, I doubt he will be going anywhere.

My concerns are that if you go to the Wests Tigers website and got to player profiles for the NRL side, there is a list of 29 players there, which leads you to assume that these are players from the top 30 covered by the first tier salary cap. By my count, there are four blokes there that haven't aged first grade this year: Nathan Brown, Corey Brown, Brendan Santi Kyle Lovett and Andrew Vela. Obviously most of them are forwards, but if they are part of the top squad, shouldn't they be covered by the top tier cap and therefore eligible to play?

The top tier covers 25 players I thought?

These guys would all fall under the second tier cap
