Marshall is down on form because he's unhappy. If mates make him happy, then he finds a team with mates and his form will return. No team in their right mind would knock him back.

This is true mate but if his asking price is $800k, note team in their right mind would pay this for what is essentially an unknown - he may be well past his best. Big risk.

Lack of outside backs the Sharks would remain a problem. Given the price tag, far too big a gamble. We wouldnt gamble on Peach wirh his whole career ahead of him and recent form so why risk a fading superstar on massive coin. Waratahs must he the go. Cant see an NZ Union franchise needing him. Maybe Japan. His old partner Scott Prince also in decline. Remember it is 8 years since their glory days. What would Shawn Johnson want? He is said to be unhappy. Maybe we could cheer him up.

He's 28, I doubt he's faded a lot, maybe the attitude has.

800k is good value if he brings more than that in sponsorship

As hard as it is to say goodbye to Bukuya, Chad and Peachey (and probably Taufua), it MUST free up cap space!

If we could sign Benji and Lafai, that would be fantastic!

Hodgkinson and Lafai would be an acceptable second...

We wont get any of those.

Maybe Marshall see's his mates Heighno & Ryan enjoying there footy again at Sharks we might pick him up for $100k less then other teams, he is still 28, we give him 3 year deal still has say another 3 years to play say rugby in Japan if he wants.

We could play Benji at f/e, move Carney to f/b, with Gordon and lets try Ryan in the centres if that fails back to wing and Leutele is still there.

The channel 9 issue with Benji not effected it didnt effect Beau, and we might even get some more FTA games which brings in sponsors we need to sound him out

Heard the same about Dykesy Scott Porter makes sense but their current HB goes well.
Carl Webb to De La rumour has been denied. Thank God. Wouldn't want to face him in park football.

Want categoric proof journos read this forum? It has been reported nowhere else other than here that Grothe jr is playing for de la. Guess who shows up at De La training last night to find out if Eric is playing? Phil Rothfield. It will please you to know he was asked to leave.

Who would play halfback - Carney or Marshall?

It's quite obvious with those comments on the footy show that Benji is no longer happy at the Tigers & needs good mates in his team to play his best footy.

If we were to get Benji for about $500 to $600k, he would be worth it.

Would we have to take Moltzen then?
