Absolutely he would be just what the club needs a passionate Dragons supporter. He would attract high profile people to the club.
I'm watching the Ashes and realise how much I miss the commentary of Warnie as
A) he was incredibly wise when it came to cricket and
B) he had a passion for his team or country to win and it came through in his frustration, elation, commending or reprimanding of the Australian players. He didn't care if it put a nose out of joint. He spoke with a passion, as he played.
All the Dragons spokespeople, leaders and management are so stuck in spiel and towing the the line and not simply saying it as it is. And then in action go about repeating everything they've done wrong the very next day. Like politicians. Squirming and lying til the get their next pay check from the club.
Case in point - go listen to the press conference. Before it begins Carr whispers in Hunt's ears "don't let them get stuck into you about the you thing" or words to that effect. Instead, the fans just want to hear transparency. There's nothing left to rescue or destabilise. And yet he sees it wise to pick Hunt as captain, Feagai and wing etc etc...
