We begin our offseason programming, by looking at an oral history of St George Illawarra.

Part one takes a look at both St George and Illawarra, their histories, the Super League War and the effects, as well as the tumultuous time of the 1990's, leading to St George Illawarra's establishment in 1998.

It's an interesting trip down memory lane, so don't miss it!

Is Hunt gone? The rumor mill is in overdrive about the Dragons number 7. The boys talk about his future, landing spots, players the Dragons could get in return and why a clean break is best for both parties.

Plus we talk about potential signings of Gutherson, Doueihi, Atkinson and Trindall. Can some of these players make the Dragons a more complete side, minus Hunt?

It is all very well for these guys to say, "well if Easts want Hunt, they have to give us Lindsay Smith (or whoever)" but what if whoever doesn't want to come to saints?

These are people with contracts. They aren't shintaro bubble gum swap cards.

I totally agree with the point you have made, were I do have a problem is believing your old enough to remember Shintaro, unless a new one has popped up in the last 60 odd years that i have missed, in which case I apologize

Ben Hunt is gone. Big news as we celebrate our 250th episode.

The Dragons half back and skipper is released from his contract, and the boys dissect this news as well as ask the questions on how the club will fare without him and if this is the right move?

Plus we bring the breaking news of Clint Gutherson's potential move to the Red V, with more news coming to light about his future.

We also talk about the 2002 Dragons season as we continue our historical series on the podcast.

G'day Jack, listened yesterday - great podcast as usual. 2012 was the beginning of the rot. If you're running out of ideas for history podcasts in the future I think a good idea would be a deep dive of the entire 2012 - 2023 era in one show examining the incredible incompetence of the board over this period. How they continually made poor decisions - terrible coaching appointments, horrible recruitment, CEOs, losses of our best juniors - and the terrible situation this left the club and our roster in by the time poor Flanno fluked into the job - let's not forget he somehow wasn't their first choice for the job!!.
In my opinion the board should never be forgiven for the way they drove our club and credibility into the ground by 2023 - literally wasting an entire decade - and it would be great to have an episode out there that documents this.
Thanks to you & Curtis for the great off season episodes.

In this episode of the Red V Podcast, we dive deep into the Dragons' struggles with recruitment and their lack of ambition in securing quality front row forwards, particularly after missing out on Terrell May. We discuss the ongoing concerns around the club’s reluctance to spend and the impact this could have on the team’s future.

On a brighter note, we celebrate the re-signings of promising young forwards Toby and Ryan Couchman, and what their commitment means for the club moving forward. Plus, we update listeners on Lachlan Illias' medical check and Cody Ramsey's health progress, before looking ahead to the opening round fixture against the Bulldogs.
