Of course, no argument there. The problem is by making it known right now he is shooting himself in the foot so 'clever' more than likely is really 'opportunistic' at best . . . if he's telling the truth
So, for the rest of the games this year any quickstepping player such as Pearce, Adam Reynolds, Maloney, Segeyaro, etc on the 5th tackle has to do is make a beeline for one of the referees and kick the ball at him, hard enough so if it misses it finds touch.
If he had been really clever Josh would have apologised to the ref for putting him in such an unenviable position, something Ennis/Smith would have instinctively done. If I was the referee the next 10 times I officiated Reynolds if he even looked at me I'd find a penalty against him . . . just because he 'used' me
