I'm off to Melbourne for that game as well. We should meet for a beer before the game.

No way was there 1,100 at that game. I got there just before the teams ran out, and there was at most several hundred people there only. It certainly didn't increase in the duration of the game. This is taken off the NSWRL website, note the crowd figures.

I've noticed that alot, people who come for the earlier games (or play in them) leaving before the Reds games. As a RL fan I really can't understand it. Don't they realise the importnace of a succesful Reds to the whole RL scene in WA?
I agree but that has to be the choice of each individual RL fan in the State. The club is doing what it can and is doing it very well. they can't go round to peoples houses and force them to the game! They are spending a large chunk of their budget on promotion which is good to see but at the end of the day RL fans in Perth need to decide if they want a NRL team here or not.
The RU fans decided they wanted a team and look at how succesful that has become, it is up to each RL fan to stand up and do their bit now. If we don't get a NRL team it will be nobodys fault except each and every RL fan that decided they couldn't be bothered to go down to MES on a Saturday night.
