You have never been able to run behind your own player (unless your hodges in a deciding origin match). Was a poorly executed block play, they all know you have to catch the ball on the outside. Not 2m inside then run around him.

Shit timed block, gower ran through the line and sandow caught it 2m inside of him and ran behind him. Ran through the same hole and scored.

But because foran slipped it somehow meant your allowed to run behind people on your team.

Pretty sure last year or year before that was what the rule was. You needed to catch the ball on the outside of your player. Gus had a big blow up "you shouldn't get rewarded for a poorly executed block". But now it was against parra who everyone was going for everyone though it should be changed.

Remember the blow up when Hodges ran behind his player in origin and they called it a try?

The video ref should take into consideration any awkward movement by defenders . . . in tonight's case the dummy runner was completely ignored, he may as well have been invisable

The issue is, if that happens on the other end of the field, there's no problem whatsoever. So only in the act of scoring can you not run behind your player. Black and white rule. Is that correct?

The rule needs to be applied across the 100m of the field & then a disallowed try for running behind your teammate wouldn't be such a big deal.
