Refereeing was appalling

Watmough play the ball, Inu (i think) tackkled along way off the ball by Matai when a kick was up, Johnson getting taken out. Three clear penalties in the first half not given. Was pretty poor tbh. Probably didnt matter in the end but was bad reffing

At the tIme I thought the warriors should have let manly score the try when the obstruction happened just so it could gave been reviewed fairly.

Yes, and all these happened when the game was really in the balance, and if the calls were made, could well have given the Warriors heaps of momentum.

Penalties not given are often more critical than the penalty count. It especially favours teams like Manly or Melbourne who push the limits and bank on being able to get away with it - its a great deal if you can get the advantage every ruck knowing that chances are the refs won't want to penalise, and you might cop 3-4 penalties in a game against you for it.

Really? What incidents should have been referred that weren't?
2 times in the 1st 1/2 Warriors on the attack inside the 30. The kicker was full on tackled after chasing it both missed. A manly play the ball was sideways next tackle penalty to Manly they score.

I enjoyed the game but rubbish like that put a dampener on it. Very poor

How is it that Shayne Hayne is awarded 2011 referee of the year but Matt Cecchin gets the Grand final?

Matt Cecchin will NEVER get another NRL grand final again.

Of for f*cks sake!

There was nothing near the game deciding howler like Archer's in 09. Watmong was lucky - but it's hardly game changing.

The ref's were a disgrace, but they have beeen all year.
As a Roosters supporter, we've had to put up with it all year.
In the GF you expect better. Hayne won the award for best ref, so why the hell was he not there?

The Cherry-Evans obstruction and the Watmough play the ball were fairly obvious TBH.

and both led to tries on the next plays...

Im a neutral fan who couldnt believe how 1-way the refereeing looked. cant believe some people thinking there was no big, blatant, wrong decisions.

They didn't call the obstruction because they expected Manly to score so they could go to the video ref and save themselves from having to make the tough call. So bad.

Warriors got jipped on a lot of calls. The next NZ coach should blow up deluxe about the calls they get against them. There's no doubt they never get the rub of the green in Aus, due to the lack of media preassure.

However, there can be no doubt whatsoever that Manly were the better team, & deserve the premiership.

P.S
Morris was in.

Bluey will certainly be a change from Ivan in that regard. Not saying he'll blow up, but he certainly doesn't share Ivan's poker face.
