Thats a tad discriminitive, i dont see how religion is keep any team from winning premierships or games. Christianity is a personal thing and the way you chose to follow that is your choice.Players who are chrisitans are no different to players who aren't, By having christian players in a team wouldnt bring negativity or anything like that.I think it would bring closeness, unity and a positive vibe.
Half of the sharks team are christians i think, this doesnt effect them on the field, by being soft or whatever..
I think just accept who they are and let them play on field the way they are..
Poor post actually.
As people have indicated one of the "gripes" is this "Hey, I'm a Christian" palava. Yet you say it is a private thing? If it's so private why the need to broadcast it to everyone? Seems every Christian footballer whenever interviewed can't resist letting that slip out. Seems we know many of the Christian footballers but hear bugger all about the Calathumpians. Borders on propoganda actually.
Is the infamous Sharks prayer session private? We all know about it, we all know who leads it, we all know who participates. Private? Hardly.
If half the Sharks team are Christians, saying it effects them on the field or not is conjecture. Like everything else it's subject to opinion and can't be defined. You certainly can't say with certainty it doesn't.
The saddest thing is, if we all agree that Christianity has no bearing on the Sharks softness, they are running out of excuses.
Closeness, unity and a positive vibe huh? Has to be one of the most naive, introspective things ever written here. Unless everyone is on the same path it has just as much potential to be divisive. Probably not, just on the surface of it, but if there are such Christians in the club who are pushing their supposed personal beliefs and values on others it won't bring about unity.
Fact of it is, when you shout it from the rooftops, expect the snipers to take shots. Or, keep it private as you say it should be.
