Are you serious? Wooo!! Thank you for the information mate! Even if it doesn't come off or whatever, thank you so much for sharing that!

If we sign QC, it should be more like

1. Jarryd Hayne
2. Luke Burt
3. Joel Reddy
4. Timana Tahu
5. Eric Grothe Junior
6. Daniel Mortimer
7. Quade Cooper
8. Tim Mannah
9. Anthony Mitchell
10. Fui Fui Moi Moi
11. Nathan Hindmarsh
12. Ben Smith
13. Reni Maitua
14. Justin Horo
15. Shane Shackleton
16. Carl Webb
17. Justin Poore

That will likely be the team barring injuries when Reni comes, if the QC signing is correct. I can't see the Shack, Poore or Horo losing their bench positions, so I would say if Carl under-performs Humble will come into the side.
I don't agree with Humble only going through that way, but based around the views of the Eels board, that's likely the way it will be.

Possible team around July 2011

Reni Maitua could be developed into a hooker

1-Hayne / Reddy / Sio / Loko
2-Burt
3-Tahu
4-Reddy
/ Horo
5-Grothe
6-Mortimer
/ Hayne / Humble / Robson
7-Q Cooper
/ Humble / Robson / Murray
8-Poore
9-Maitua
or Mitchell
10-Fui
11-Hindmarsh
12-Smith
/ Shackleton
13-Horo
/ Smith

14-Mitchell
/ Humble / Mortimer / Robson
15-Shackleton
/ Te Mari / O'Hanlon
17-Mannah
18-Webb

I would love to see Karl Filiga work his arse off all season, get a shot playing in a few trials & if he goes ok, given a shot playing in the centers.

Any talk of this being a risky move have absolutely no idea. This is a completely risk FREE move. Its all upside for Parra. They come cheaply, we have experienced forwards leaving the club regardless, and we have a solid pack of forwards without them, so if they perform in training or in the lower grades they'll only create competition for spots and provide depth in case of injury to the front liners.

The only possible risk i can imagine is whether two blokes with some baggage could do some damage to the culture of the club, but i am willing to be positive and say that with both having serious points to prove, they'll want to give things a red hot go and stay off the meat pies and the sauce respectively.
So it isn't completely risk free after all. Like many have said, neither player is likely to be on a massive wage, but unless Reni Matua has changed his attitude and dubious social habits (and maybe he has), Parra have taken quite a large risk in signing him.

I can only see 2 things that the headlines will read next year:

Disgraced former NRL star revives a club fairy tail
or
Disgraced former NRL star further disgraces disgraceful club.

I hope my negative opinions on this tool don't reflect into his performance so that we get the good headlines.

Nothing worse than a bloke who does something wrong and cops his punishment is there.

If the first headline gets through...the proof reader should be sacked...

Weyman was always a gun Prop forward. He did punch that poncey model boy Daniel Conn once in a game but that was just a footy issue that was unsavoury but nothing like what Maitua has been up too.

Weyman played junior rep footy and was a junior kangaroo. He would have progressed much faster but for a couple of knee recos.

The only doubt about Weyman was whether he would stand up, there was no doubting his talent.

Bingo

Weyman had a torrid time with injuries at the raiders, always had potential and brought no off field problems with him.

The bloke breeds poodles...Why would he have off-field problems, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that he does ballet at this point.

It's interesting, though, how people excuse certain players' behaviours but crucify other players' behaviours.

Reni Maitua did some idiotic things, true. But he obviously suffered from something that drove him to lash out in such a manner - it doesn't excuse it, but it explains it.

reni is going to have to spend quite a bit of time in NSW cup. After being out of footy for that long and no access to a full offseason, he isnt going to stroll into our top 17!

haha i was actually coached by weyman a few times since i played at his junior club and he was out of shape and only ever wanted to fight people.
He knew he need a dont take sh*t coach to finally take footy seriously.
Weyman also caused them injuries himself due to doing way to much wieghts and started very young around 15-16 thats the reason for his injuries.
Bennett has been the best thing in weymans career by a long shot.

I wouldn't get too stuck into Weyman if I were you guys, when he turns 36 he will be playing for you
