All teams have geniused/idiot supporters. You'd be a farkin idiot if you denied that.
It did look like a Brisbane supporter. Wonder what it was over??
The first shot looked like he was just being a dick and jumping on the guy while he was being filmed to get his face on tv. But the second shot, where there was a group of them, was pretty damning. Bunch of dickheads.

During the initial broadcast there was a great clear photo of the morons face.

During his first intro, the guy walked up behind Ben and stuck his tongue leaning towards his face about 5-10cm away. Second intro he just walked behind Ben and stood there. Then during the third intro is when he was crash tackled. They crossed straight to the story then, cutting the rest of his intro out. Then Pat Welsh read the rest of the sports because there are "some idiots who have ruined it"

But the first two times he gave everyone a clear view so he won't be hard to find.

What about the cameraman filming it instead of helping out? I thought he would have helped out his bud a little more quickly.

Filming it for evidence is a much smarter move than trying to break up, and probably end up being assaulted himself. It's much better to wait the 10 seconds or so it took security to get there, who are trained in that area. If he didn't film it, a conviction would be harder to come by.

It did look like a Brisbane supporter. Wonder what it was over??

Yeah in his first 2 intros where the guy was just being a moron but not touching Ben, you could see he was wearing a Broncos jersey. Ben might have told him to "f**k off". I certainly wouldn't want a guy sticking his tongue very close to my face, and the look on Ben's face didn't look like he liked it much either.

A 40-0 loss

A lifetime of being on the same intellectual level as a soggy toilet roll

The frustration of not being able to tell 'Reg' that you sometimes think about him late at night

Lots of reasons

Seven reporter bashed outside NRL venue
September 9, 2007 - 11:09PM

A Seven Network journalist was tackled to the ground and punched by two men on live television outside Olympic Park, following the Melbourne Storm's NRL qualifying final win over Brisbane.

Reporter Ben Davis suffered minor injuries in the attack, which occurred as he did a live cross to Seven's Brisbane news bulletin from outside the Melbourne stadium at about 6.20pm (AEST) Sunday, police said.

Police said a group of men was involved in the assault.

One of the men tackled Mr Davis, pushing him to the ground, while another punched the reporter in the back of the head.

The man who tackled him was wearing a Brisbane Broncos guernsey and was described as Caucasian, aged in his early to mid 20s and about 180cm tall with short, dark hair.

The other man was described as being about 30 years with a shaved head, solid build and tattoos on his arms.

Police have released images of the two men, which was captured by Seven's cameras.

Melbourne Storm defeated the Broncos 40-0 in the match.

The crushing defeat revenged the Storm's grand final defeat at the hands of Brisbane last year.
