I expect Carney as the No.17 and I think that would be a wise choice. The kid is still young. Halfback is a very complex and stressful position to be in at the best of times. Elliot has stressed since day one he wants Carney to slowly go into that spot. Giving Carney a No.17 will do that. Hey.. If his form warrants an early start to the no.7 so be it.

I believe withers will play halfback moving to hooker when germ is rested and bringing on Carney in the halfback possy...

At least everyone has the same ideas as me. I know Elliot is not perfect, but hell Bay the only reason why you think this club has problems, is because the amount of times you repeat what you say, it's become stuck in your head and it won't leave. Try a different outlook on the Raiders. You will enjoy it more. ;-)

Under Elliot we have finished 8th, 4th and 8th. We went backwards this season, no-one is disputing that, but the fact is Elliot has done a reasonable job in taking us to the finals the last three seasons. When he signed he said he had a five-year plan. Let's see where we go under him.

This is an exciting time for the Raiders. We have some potential superstars in the junior ranks and seeing them develop into hardened NRL players and possibly State of Origin and International Reps is going to be one hell of a journey. Players like Carney, Weyman, Zillman, Dobson, Campese. Hopefully they are the Daley, Stuart, Lazarus, Walters and Clyde of our generation.

It's dangerous to think you know people Bay. The last 3 seasons, Elliott has taken us to the finals when most "respected" football pundits tipped us to finish near the bottom. If we had gotten the spoon the last 3 seasons, then everyone would want Elliott out. The fact remains though Bay that we haven't got the spoon.

Everyone knows that you don't like Elliott. Fair enough. But you act as though you're the only person in the world who cares, and if people don't hate the coach as much as you then they don't care about the Raiders. That's BS. Other people just have different opinions, and are more willing, for the sake of stability, to give the coach more time.

I've expressed my opinion and made it quite clear I dont support Elliot (not that you had any doubt as to may status in that regard).

You have made it quite clear you do support him, and thats fine.

If your support of Elliot has resulted in some sort of warped satisfaction and delight at the thought it may be effecting me in some way you can wipe the smile of your face quick smart because it doesnt.

I dont give a tinkers root about Elliot or management .... my concern is with the success of the club and it remains my opinion that this club would be better served with competent management making ALL the necessary decsions that will take this club into the future ... and that imo means replacing Elliot with a coach that can take individual players and the team the next step.
