It just annoys the hell out of me that most clubs have some young teenager kicking ass and looking like a future champion. I honestly can’t remember the last time the club produced a Xerri, Campbell Graham etc. Besides the legendary Lance Thompson I honestly can’t remember a kick ass 18 or 19 year old playing in the red V where I’ve gone wow!!

The issue here is perseverance, the guys you mention have been backed by the coach and given time. If I remember, Xerri and Graham made some errors etc in their first few games, but were persevered with by the coach and have grown into the position and have been coached to do so. You could add young Garrick to that list. In the meantime the only one he's stuck with is Aitken, who remains, no matter what (perseverance?) but without any coaching to back it up, therefore, his errors and deficiencies have expediated rather than been eliminated.

We seem to have a great bunch of youngsters coming through, yet the road block remains as well as the coaching deficiency. Lomax has the big wraps, but there re others with uncapped potential that could be anything with the right coaching. It was unfortunate the Kiti Glymin tore his hammy beyond repair in his first game, would have been interesting to see if he developed or stagnated under the "super coach'.

I saw Saab play live in last years pre season trial and was impressed with him. For a skinny bloke he is strong and has good leg drive, he was carrying blokes out of our end. I think once he fills out he'll be a quality footy player.
Yep...reminds me a lot of Tupou at the roosters when he first came to grade

Surely the back drop of the Pacific Ocean looks a lot better on TV than looking into Campbelltown.

Didn't meet their protocols as per the article.

The venues were selected on a range of factors including those best equipped to meet the NRL’s strict biosecurity protocols which have been formulated to keep players, staff and the general community healthy. Other factors included geographic location, rectangular rather than oval stadiums and commercial considerations.

Just listening to the Dragons Podcast with Nathan Blacklock. When asked about the current team he says current day footy teams should maybe play more of whats in front of them and less percentage footy.
THAT is the biggest problem with Mary footy, always just trying to complete sets.
Give me 90s footy any day.

We play sharks, roosters, titans, raiders and dogs twice.
I can see 5 wins at best this year.
Warriors, Dogs, Titans, Dogs, Titans

But are they not in McGregors corner with our first 4 games back. Easiest draw possible
Warriors,Dogs,Sharks,Titans

We've gone from having what looked to (potentially) be the toughest draw of any team in 2020 to now having potentially one of the most easiest.

Originally rounds 3-10 we were staring down the barrel of Raiders (A), Eels (A), Warriors (H), Rabbitohs (A), Roosters (pretty much A), Storm (A), Knights (A), Broncos (A).

Now it's Warriors, Bulldogs, Sharks, Titans, Roosters, Raiders, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs - all at much of a muchness neutral venues in front of no crowds, with a serious chance of building some momentum before we come up against the Roosters (who have a pretty tough next four games).

Crazy to think how this has all transpired !

One problem is we had two very winnable games we threw away already.
We are talking about the Dragons who have a bad habit of stuffing things up.

Cheers. Saab although still a young pup has been very ordinary to be honest. He doesn’t even register in my thoughts at the moment. Maybe a little harsh but even in the 9’s he looked like he couldn’t give 2 shits and was just barely going through the motions. A lot of talk about him being some sort of saviour but he is nowhere near ready for 1st grade in my opinion

Up will get a run before Saab

When I see the original draw there was a real chance, especially with the players we had out that we would of be dusted by the Raiders, Eels, Rabbits, Roosters, Storm, Knights and Broncos with a slim chance of beating the lowly Warriors. We could of been looking at 1 from 10. Just our luck, with the end appearing certain for the gifted one, a freak event thrusts him back in. Godamn virus.
