In other signing news, Beavis said he was hopeful of having the future of impressive Tigers backrower Chris Heighington sorted out by the end of next week.

The Country Origin representative is in hot demand with the Dragons just one club showing a lot of interest in adding the 26-year-old to their pack.

Heighington, though, is favoured to remain at the Tigers where club officials are hoping he will form a devastating second row combination with incoming Great Britain Test representative Gareth Ellis in 2009.
Taken from Fox Sports

Thats good news, i hope we lock him up long term !

I also heard the Tigers have expressed interest in Peter Wallace when his contract ends in 2009.

Why don't we just sign Head for 3 years now?

Exactly. Simmons last night on the footy show re-enforced that Johhny Morris is clearly a better half than Head. Head only had the advantage simply because he had the wind behind his back at Newcastle.

And the wind was also to blame for the J Mo average of 0.00002 try assists per season, 14,628 sh*t kicks, 789 missed tackles etc etc. Sizzler needs sacking the incompetent westie gnome

Seriously you bunch of Mongs.....whats Sizzler supposed to say???

That Morris is sh*t????

Really.....I thought he underplayed it quite well.

I think Sheens picking Head at 7 says enough/it all.

But dont let me interrupt the whinefest.

Please state where the whinefest is. If i read correctly, everyone is AGREEING with Roycie and stating facts.
But apply your comments and post to one Daniel Fitzhenry.... :sarcasm:

Perhaps sizzler feels some empathy with J Mo
Both are out of their depth in their current employment
Both should be further west
Both are sh*t at their jobs
Both are a liability to the Wests Tigers
Both were picked ahead of players who were far better footballers (Elias and Head)

Does this mean the Tigers coaching elite know which way the wind will be blowing this weekend?

Well as a matter of fact, WT won the toss of the coin and chose to run into the wind for the first half in the game up in Newcastle . Maybe they knew they could use it as an excuse down the track because Morris was named at starting number 7.

It's actually a silly move to not take the unpredictable natural elements whilst they are on offer. I've played some footy in the first half against the wind, only to come back out in the second half for the wind to switch direction giving the opposing team a full match with an advantage.

Sorry CT I have this debate every week with tottie and chopsy
When it's like that, run into it first half ... it was never gonna drop off on sun
What's even worse is coming out flat, not using the wind (if you have it) and only being level then having nothing to help get you home
RUN INTO IT

Sunday was an exception as the wind did stay in one direction the whole game and it was a good calculated move to work with Sheens' plan to come home strong. But i've seen many an occassion the wind drop off or change direction after 40mins and will have to agree with Tottie and Chopsy on this one.

Run into it and then know what you have to do
We aren't ruthless enough to kill sides off first half
I remember one game around 1991 at Leichhardt ... easts had cyclone tracey behind them at leichhardt and we came in level at half time thought we'd piss it in ... we didn't and alan jones went into one about the side thinking that the wind would score points for them. From memory it was the first game Jones dropped Freeman for Smyth

WT have never had much success to kill off or put teams to the sword team since the merge. So like you stated in another thread, you gotta take the money and run whilst you can.
