His kicking isn't that great, he can kick a big one every now and then but his career success rate is only around 70%, not really where a 1st grade kicker should be. You may have noticed that Head has taken over the kicking at saints now.

Where would he play if he comes to Parramatta, I mean Morris is having his best year so far at hooker and he can play 5/8, but if we move him to 5/8 where does leave the likes of Thorman, Witt, Dykes or T Smith. Dont get me wrong he is a good player and plays with a lot of passion, but I'm concerned about where he'll play.

 @ Phillips.

What made you suddenly change your mind mate?

Like it or not the Pig wil be an Eel next year so you will have to cheer for him. He's a very talented footballer, could be a real sensation for us but we need another good signing or two.

Widders will help him out with the diet of course ;-)

Riddell would be an awesome, PJ Marsh-esque pick-up.

Spark off the bench or softening up the forwards starting the game, he would be a tremendous asset.

Plus he's a very great guy and has a lot of spirit. Never gives less than 100% and enjoys his footy.

"Each said they wanted to stay but the Dragons could not match the money rival clubs were prepared to pay, with the Eels understood to have offered Riddell $330,000 per season over three years"

Thats from the SMH

Ok any signing is good dont get me wrong but isnt that much money quite alot...im not saying anything though...i guess at least we signed him

SMH says that he and kite informed Fragons on monday nite they were leaving...also says that Paul Gallen has being given permission to negotiate with other clubs and that Parra and tigers are interested

Also another thing which I PRAY is accurate but i have my doubts
The SMH says cayless, cannings, grothe and Odwyer were recovering fast from their injuries and could be ready for saturdays game against Penrith

Hopefully thats right but didnt Cayless say that his 8 weeks away when we played Manly...makes me doubt the rest then too

First of all!! I refuse to get excited until it's official.

second of all, as Renny said I did reveal that Smithy was planning to rotate Pig and Morrie, however I think he also indicated he would use both of them in a "s**t" role, meaning they can fit into several different possy's at short notice and it wouldn't surprise me if both of them play on the field together on most occasions. IF HE COMES!!!!!

As for Gallen! he would be an awsome buy but please Parra, don't pay over the odds for him.

As for the players coming back this week! it must be crap, I'm sure Caylo and Canno's arms are still in plaster. Unles it's some sick ploy by Smith to play mind games against the Penny's ;-)

Useful player alright, but $330K is a lot relatively - that is if a player like Hindy (rep player) is on $300K? You've got to have some pay structure where your better players earn as much (more) that your imports that have yet to prove themselves. Otherwise you risk a bit of team disharmony in my opinion...

Gallen would be a great pick up - strong and tackles like a demon and another Parra boy to bring back home......

The SMH mentioned that Kite is getting a "sign-on fee" from Manly to go there....its been well publicised that Manly are under the cap for this year, hence they have some spare cash to throw away this season - the sign-on fee I assume would go to the player immediately and be part of this season's salary cap money....hence his $350,000 for 3 years may be more like $300,000 for 3 yrs and $150,000 sign-on fee now.

I wonder if Parramatta is pulling the same deal with Riddell?....maybe we can use Jamie's money that was never paid this year as "sign-on" fees to players - and maybe this is the case with Riddell....pay him a bit upfront that will count to this seasons cap and then more like $270,000 a year for 3 years.

I have heard that - "Parra will be better off cap wise if Jamie doesn't play" - and also - Ian Shuburt said his money must count against our cap because he is not a real "free" agent....I can imagine that Shuburt's comment may just refer to future seasons and NOT this season - it is in no way Parra's fault Jamie walked out and left us high and dry this season - we shouldn't be penalised capwise for his moods, but we are stopping him from being a real free agent for following seasons so maybe his money will count against us then.

Just wondering - maybe too much
