can you really say Storm Troppers Of Death are anything with right or left wing
They're a little right wing at times but really they're more just about pissing people off. Billy Milano (vocalist)'s other band MOD are definitely to the right though.

Apart from all these white supremacist bands... are there many that follow more traditional right wing views?

nofx, pennywise, strike anywhere, rise against, bad religion, black flag, lagwagon, the descendents, strung out, good riddance. basically any band on fat wreck chpords, epitaph and any other indie punk label. all lefties and especially bands like nofx bad religion pennywise and rise against are pretty vocal about their left views.

yeah it seems all the good bands are lefties but its just something you have to deal with. All the right wing bands seem like death metal

I also went to that site where all those neo nazi/hate bands were listed.. I hadnt heard of any of them.. Those bands are just crazy..

The reason why there are more left wing bands is because it sells.. I think a lot of right wing bands would be too much to handle for your everyday person..

I forgot Burzum - how the hell could I forget Varg Vikerness?

On August 10th, 1993, Varg Vikernes murdered Euronymous in his apartment. Their relationship before the murder was tense, as their friendship and music relationship started going downhill. Varg, who had started to play the bass in Mayhem, killed him due to jealousy, but also because Euronymous still had to pay him a lot of money. Varg was never paid for what he had released through Deathlike Silence Records. Euronymous was found in his underwear, with 23 inflicted stab wounds with a knife. Varg was rumoured to try and outdo his rival's (Faust of Emperor) murder, wherein he led a homosexual man back to his house and stabbed him to death. At his trial, Vikerness came into court with his long hair made into pigtails, and denying his involvement in Euronymous's death. He giggled and laughed throughout the trial. He was convicted of the murder and was sentenced to 21 years in prison (the maximum possible sentence in Norway). When police arrested Varg, he was found with over 150 KG of stolen dynamite and plans to destroy Nidarosdomen, a large Christian church in Trondheim, on a religious holiday.
:?

Was this that Count Grishnack guy that escaped from jail and held a family at gun-point or something just last year? Anyhoo, Euronymous reminds me of the story of Anonymous (an obvious play on Euronymous), the Australian metalhead guy (Jayson from Mortification) behind the band Horde who caused a bit of a stir with the Nuclear Blast fans doing the whole anti-Satanic album thing

Goes to show how crazy that black metal scene is

If your into 'tough guy' hardcore in the veins of Hatebreed, Madball, Sworn Enemy, etc. You should check out Pitboss 2000 or One life Crew, who i'd class as right wing bands who arnt racists but have lyrics about being homophobic, anti middle east, hating wiggers, being un-PC, etc.

Nearly every hardcore band are left wing bands which is fine with me being a lefty myself.

What would straight edge be classed as though?

No, death metal is generally non-political.
Most extreme right wing bands are either skinhead/Oi bands or black metal (yes it's totally different to death metal)

Varg Vikernes (aka Grishnakh although he hasn't used that name for about 10 years) never "escaped" from jail, he got let out for a few days for good behaviour and decided not to return. The police caught him a few days later, he was alonre at the time. Don't know where the BS about him holding a family at gunpoint comes from. He's a nutter but he's not THAT crazy.....

That Horde album was kinda funny, it was a decent pisstake on bad black metal.

The gunpoint story came from Blabbermouth.

An aptly named website, given their propensity for posting rumours before the actual facts come out.

I can't believe no one has really got into the oz music scene. All the music I primarily listen to from australian artists is pretty lefty political stuff. Xavier Rudd and John Butler trio just to name a couple of the more prominent. Frenzal Rhomb are well-known lefties! As are the waifs...

Midnight Oil = Left

a bunch of hardcore bands would be left that i can't name. But I have no bands in my collection I would class as right, besides Slayer.
Gospel of the Horns have been accused of having right-wing sympathies and certainly attract some of the skinhead element to their shows. Dunno how well founded the allegations are though.
Most black metal bands are probably right of centre although many are apolitical.

Hmm... I can't see any overtly politically right viewpoints in GOTH's lyrics, but it does have a very black metal theme to it all. But I wouldn't class them as a 'political' band. Yeah, they do attract quite a few skinheads, which kind of shits me but they can like whatever they want.
