Was this that Count Grishnack guy that escaped from jail and held a family at gun-point or something just last year? Anyhoo, Euronymous reminds me of the story of Anonymous (an obvious play on Euronymous), the Australian metalhead guy (Jayson from Mortification) behind the band Horde who caused a bit of a stir with the Nuclear Blast fans doing the whole anti-Satanic album thing

Goes to show how crazy that black metal scene is
Varg Vikernes (aka Grishnakh although he hasn't used that name for about 10 years) never "escaped" from jail, he got let out for a few days for good behaviour and decided not to return. The police caught him a few days later, he was alonre at the time. Don't know where the BS about him holding a family at gunpoint comes from. He's a nutter but he's not THAT crazy.....

That Horde album was kinda funny, it was a decent pisstake on bad black metal.

I guess Kerrang got it from blabbermouth.....lol i'd argue with you about that comment about the guy not being THAT crazy ahahhaah

That's the thing about that Horde album....no one can really decide if it was a joke or a masterstroke lol

Strike Anywhere are a good example of a left wing band. Very strong views on what Bush is doing to Iraq as well as the US in general. Boysetsfire as well. May as well add Thursday and Poison The Well while you're at it. Alot of hardcore and post-punk bands align themselves with the left and have political undertone/messages in their music.

this ties in with the left wing bands.

nofx have just played on late night with conan obrien and bass player and singer fat mike sung in franco un-america "the president loves c@ck, but hates homersexuals", inplace of "the presidents laughing cause he voted for nader".

pretty much showing the left wing support ona public and big broadcast. the sensors just barely censored c#ck.
