Was just walking by the tv to put a load of clothes in the washing machine, caught his name on the screen as I walked past, stopped to look and almost fell over.

What the f**k is going on

One of my good mates got picked to play first grade against a young Roy, he was a keeper with a big mouth and when Roy walked out batting @ 3 my mate on debut called him a hacker and a bunny.

After hit 20 off the next over my mate got a little quiet lol.

f**k!!!!

Was at my local gym half way through a workout when I saw this news flash up on one of the news screens. Utterly shocked. Couldnt finish the workout I wanted to, just felt utter shit.

Loved the way he played cricket, and also his commentary so much

RIP Roy, you will be missed by so many

I feel for Kerry Okeefe - he’s now lost two kindred spirits he worked with in the space of six or so weeks.

It is just utterly sad and unbelievable. He was a likeable, laconic bloke. I loved watching him play and who didn’t love his convoluted analysis that made perfect sense. Another sad day for Aussie cricket.

AB as well, pretty sure he would of known and played with Roy since he was 18, add in Marshy and AB and he'd be doing it very tough.

Had his issues which sadly limited his career, but the bloke was just a fantastic cricketer. Could bat, could bowl and could field. He was a great character too. Was always decent value on commentary as well. RIP Roy. Streakers worldwide breathe a sigh of relief.
