I thought they might have a minute's silence, Jack was a Roosters legend and one of the coaches that led them to Premiership Victory.

Disgrace comments about him by Jacquelin Magnay on the offsiders this morning on ABC.

Don't know how many of you guys watch it, as it is a bit of an AFL lovefest, but the negative comments she made about Jack were disgraceful, especially at this time.

Yes he may be old-school and didn't want to talk to you, now is not the time to be publicly complaining about it years later.

Just that when she was younger working at a cronulla paper Jack didn't think women like her should be covering the game and that he was very old-school.

Not the most timely of comments I thought.

Perhaps I'm over-reacting.

I agree with you Patorick, obviously put together very quickly in order to have it ready before todays telecast.

Hopefully there will be a more expansive version later in the season although my impression of the man would say he would not have wanted the publicity.

He was far more interested in the game and the individuals who contribute to make it the fantastic game it is than hogging any limelight for himself, but we all know he deserves the highest of accolades that anyone can possibly be given.

PS: I really loved the part when he gave it to Zorba, treated him with the contempt he deserved and left him speechless. One of your best BIG JACK!!!

It was just a small piece but BIG JACK was in the dressing room and Zorba wanted an interview.

Don't know what the lead up to it was but BIG JACK has said to Zorba

"You do your job and i will do mine"

Zorba replies "I am trying to do mine but you won't talk to me"

And then Jack said something like "Yeh and that is the way it is going to say"

I couldn't hear all of it very well as my kids love to yell and scream when something interesting is on the TV, but i did see Jack give him a spray and poor old Zorba just walked away with his tail between his legs.

The expression on Zorbas face was enough to know that BIG JACK had just given to him big time.
