The Raiders weren’t all on top. Shortly before Tauks burst through and we were attacking the Raiders line. If the Raiders thought it was 6 to go, why did Hodgson and Guler throw hot potato passes after collecting the ball?

Why is it a given that Wighton rolls a grubbed in goal and gets a repeat set? His kicking game was midfield bombs. His previous grubber was a shocker that Nat Butcher cleaned up easily. He might have kicked it dead for a 7 tackle set, might have kicked it straight down a Roosters throat.

The Raiders with all that ball in the second half could not convert anything into points, even after the Roosters were dudded into playing with 12. We fought through the adversity, the Raiders didn’t.

Derp yeah Hodgson passed when he heard the last tackle call....

And Wighton took the sixth tackle just for shits and giggles.

Not only but certainly a critical factor. 72min all level raiders on top with momentum and field position. You’d be a fool to say it didn’t play a key part in the outcome.

Of course it did, but so did 2000 other things. If the Raiders played absolutely perfect and only lost 2-0 after a blatantly wrong ref call, then I'll say it was the ref's fault. To blame one ref decision above all other things is f**king idiotic.

Nope.

Roosters benefitted from two farcical episodes in the game.

A ball hitting a trainer who shouldn't have been on the field.

And confusion from an overrule during live play.

I think its a win- win for fans of other teams.
Rooters GF win is forever stained by refs decision.
Raiders fans saying they were robbed, yet their team couldn't put away a 12 man side by another poor refs decision.lol

So I should mate. And anyone else who loves the game.

The grand final was a farce.

But keep whinging that you won.

You know we’re not whinging that we won. We accept the result. Why wouldn’t we? We also accept the officiating was a farce but counter that it went both ways. You know it did. We are simply offering up a counter argument. Not whinging, just not letting you guys take the gloss off an historical achievement

The first one should have been a penalty to the roosters as has been the case all year

If Wighton would have kicked i'm 90% sure that Canberra would not have scored, flip they couldn't score against 12. And that Verrills try was as soft as cow dung, if Canberra and Hodgson are so good why couldn't they do that, it's because the Chooks are a better side and deserved to win the Premiership.

Raiders barely beat a busted, tired Rabbitohs outfit that butchered three tries of its own. Furthermore, like in the GF, the Raiders never looked like scoring in the Preliminary.

The Roosters smashed teams senseless all season too.

I think all in all, despite refs, the Raiders inexperience cost them when it counted.

Canberra had run out of legs in the last 15 mins . CNK got cramp with 20 min to go and needed to replaced soon after....The Roosters made all their line breaks for the 2nd half in the last 15 mins.
Canberra had spent so much energy to be on top they had nothing left. . Things go against you in matches you need to be good enough to go beyond, Canberra were not. The Roosters had things go against them and were strong enough to hold on during the tough times and take their chances.
Canberra had 2 tough calls (but were eventually correct) not were good enough to hold on.
Roosters had a disrupted interchange due to injury and HIA. and had defend for 10 mins with 12 men with a tough sin bin call ( correct decision for consistency for this season, other seasons it would not be).
Another 6 tackles missed or to have a man missing for 10 mins which is more disruptive ?

.

What game were you guys watching?

Raiders were physically on top at that point. If they weren’t going to score a try they would’ve dominated field position to be place to slot a field goal

Derr. You wouldn't be saying that if it happened to souths.

The gf was a complete farce.

Yep... Still whinging after benefiting from complete and utter farcical decisions.

If it happened to the Roosters you'd be whinging for the next 20 years.
