After a contest for the ball like that players will generally look at the ref to see what decision he's made. The decision was six again. No reason to keep watching the ref after he's made a decision mate.

Besides, I'm not so sure the call was wrong anyway. Slowed down footage shows the ball probably hit Tedesco's shoulder anyway.

Come on guys it’s not the first time where refs changed their minds and it won’t be the last, it was wrong for the ref to rule six again what if the Raiders scored from it, the Roosters fans wouldn’t be happy about it..

it is however the first time an official has changed his ruling in the middle of live play

No need to get hysterical mate. Replay clearly shows Tedesco's shoulder in very close proximity to the ball. Looks like one of those 50/50 decisions, which is probably why one ref - the control ref - called it six again and the other called it last tackle.

50/50 calls like that happen during live play in just about every game mate.

They were happy enough to eschew justice and hand the ball back to the roosters when their trainer denied the raiders of a try scoring opportunity because that was the rule
But ignored the rule here in this instance.

that’s not even remotely what I’ve said
The call for the ball hitting the trainer not only didn’t favour my team, it actively hurt my team
And I am happy they called it that way, because that was the rule (I have long standing views about that rule), and what ever view I have on that rule, for this game it was the rule and that’s how the game should be officiated

in the instance of 6 again, they did not follow the rules. That’s the problem. The referees did not do their job and did not follow the rules of the game.

All I ask is that the officials do their job according to the rules. Nothing else, just to do their jobs

certainly isn’t clear enough even on replay to go and circumvent the rules of the game for

I don’t want much out of this fiasco.
The result is done and dusted and ultimately I think roosters deserved to win

Nothing can be done about it on the park.
All I ask is that Graham Annesley and his officials admit they blew it, and tell us how they’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again.
