It doesn’t matter if the ref had a 50ft sign and a loudspeaker

Once he signalled 6 again, the rule book explicitly state he can’t change the call

As soon as he changed his call he impeded play and the rule book states that if the ref impeded play then a scrum feed to the attacking team must occur

The ARLC rule book also states that the referee is permitted to explain controversial decisions.

Come on guys it’s not the first time where refs changed their minds and it won’t be the last, it was wrong for the ref to rule six again what if the Raiders scored from it, the Roosters fans wouldn’t be happy about it..
Give us an instance of a ref changing his mind mid play.

The six again signal was pretty clear mate.

The “last tackle” he called 4 times immediately after was also very clear ... clearer than the signal for 6 again.
He called it twice when Whighton had the ball right in front of the ref.

Do you think a GF should be decided off the back of a refs error?
If he called 6 again and Raiders score it’s a bigger error than him quickly changing his mind. IMO.

The bunker called it.
That’s what they’re there for and the actual decision was %100 correct.

Raiders should’ve tackled the roosters down there instead of folding.

Players aren't watching the refs unless there's a reason to mate.

The call might be clear for you at home listening to mic'ed up refs on your television, but not quite so clear for those out on the field surrounded by 80K screaming lunatics.

Ha
So they all saw him wave his arm for that split second but missed him holding his arm up indicating 5th tackle for the last 10 seconds?
...and yelling last tackle???

Just about every other bloke on the field knew it was the last tackle.

Imagine if a decision like this went against the Peptide kids, the groupies would have Jonestowned themselves.

It didn’t go against you though
The call was correct
Yeah he f**ked up at first but fixed it.

Imagine if it was the roosters who scored off a bullshit 6 again call?

basically you blokes wanted to win off the back of a refs error but are whinging about a refs error...??

Maybe next year
Doubt it though

After a contest for the ball like that players will generally look at the ref to see what decision he's made. The decision was six again. No reason to keep watching the ref after he's made a decision mate.
