I, along with everyone, would rather the refs got it right in the first place. But once a decision is made, it can’t be overturned, barring foul play/penalty.

The 6 to go which was overturned was an unprecedented monumental f**k up.

Once the ref makes a decision he can’t change it while the ball is alive. It’s ludicrous to expect the players to spend the whole match looking at the ref.

The raiders players did in fact play to the whistle

To expect them to be looking at Cummins the whole time is ridiculous. The ball hit either a raiders or a roosters player, the players looked to the ref for his ruling on if it was 6 again or the last and Cummins signalled 6 to go. Once that happens he can’t undo it by yelling still the last or changing his signal because the players only pay attention when they have to because it’s difficult to play sport while looking at a ref

How many times do breaks continue down field after a ref has called a forward pass ? The players simply cannot hear the refs calls all the time but they can see him waving his arm
