ha

I find it funny that such an inconsequential ref error is such a problem for you.

It wasn’t even a point scoring situation.
It was just a bog standard getting caught on the last tackle.
Yeah we all know the ref shouldn’t have waved his arm.
... If he stuck to the call it means the wrong team gets an advantage anyway.

as it turns out the raiders ended up in a bloody good position with the roosters absolutely gassed trying to run it off their own line.
There was still about 9 mins left.

yeah they didn’t get the six again but they shouldn’t have anyway.

maybe raiders could’ve put another kick in , they definitely had time to.
The ref also made it clear it was the last tackle.

we’ll never know
At the end of the day the right call made ...albeit in the wrong way.

I think any reasonable footy fan will see this didn’t change the result.

Didn't read

That I can believe
Were they blowing up?

At the ground it was hard to understand what had happen, it was pretty confusing... i moved on relatively quickly because i just assumed i must have seen it wrong, i was basically down the other end of the field near the corner... and then the try came pretty quickly after that and i was fairly despondent
So i dont really know what anyone but my wife and i were doing or saying, haha.

We left about 2-3 minutes after fulltime.

I'm the same as you mate

Much of the furore seemed to stem from Nine's continued attack on the game

On the Fox coverage it was mentioned, but they moved on

Channel 9 blew up deluxe, like they do with anything involving referees and went on and on about it

They do immeasurable damage to the game with their commentary.

I used to be a huge fan / defender of Phil Gould, but he really does the game a disservice at times the way he carries on

In a crowd of 83000 of which 58000 (70%) were supposedly raiders fans not one of them was cocky. Ok then. Maybe the people around us were all just so nervous that it manifested itself as cockiness.

You didnt say one fan was cocky though

No need to imagine It. It happened. The silence of raiders fans was deafening. So cocky for the entire 2nd half. So convinced they’d win. We’re giving it to us hard. It was just a matter of time. But they just couldn’t score. They didnt get the Arsey tries as they did against souffs and storm. To be fair most were gracious at the final whistle. Most.

You said the fan base was cocky, which is, to be perfectly honest, another steaming load of absolute horseshit from you.

That would be like me tarnishing the entire roosters fan base as f**king dipshits because of you.

I was watching on TV in Qld with a bunch of people.
I saw the 6 again thing but to be honest nobody thought much of it.
It looked like Jack was just unaware it was last tackle , you see that all the time.
We were watching Foxtel...
Every one was going for raiders.
I got up to get a beer and when I came back the roosters had scored.

As soon as it finished the dude who’s house it was put a Bill Burr live show on the TV.
f**king outstanding.
Funniest comedian getting around.

I was on about halfway but just about as high up as you can get so not a great view of what actually happened. But to us it looked as though Teddy knocked it forward and the ref waved 6 again so it was a surprise to see a handover. But as Nick said, the try came pretty quickly after that and it just looked like poor defence on our behalf. I was surrounded by Raiders fans and nobody was blowing up about it, just disappointed about the try. I never thought that decision cost us the game so I was surprised to see FB after the games with all these stories saying "Raiders robbed". So yeah I didn't think that was the case after the game and I haven't changed my tune about that.

I was listening to Triple M on the way home after the game.

They were blowing up deluxe about it.

Worst decision in history etc. I think Bill Harrigan was getting in on it. Probably with his own axe to grind.

I guess it’s their job to create controversy though.

No.

You’re having a meltdown because you think it has any relevance to the fact that the refs are dumbmerkins.
Of course it’s relevant. They missed a clear cut penalty while Biased media and fans are bleating about the trainer. I agree the trainers on the ground are a blight but pointing to that incident as another example that raiders were hard done by is ludicrous given it should’ve been a penalty. That’s all. There’s no meltdown. I just like correcting people’s idiotic assertions.

The raiders robbed theory is shit. IMO.
f**king Tedesco was always going to score at some point.
He is an expert at scoring when they need it.

If the dude who passed it the Jack was tackled and then told it was last tackle it would’ve been a massive call... totally ripped off.

FMD. As a collective at the pint of the game they were. Should i have counted the exact number of cocky vs non cocky. Seriously mate. I even said they were gracious at the end of the game. I apologise and take it back. The raiders fans were the most humble, the most gracious most sportsmanlike fans I’ve even encountered. They applauded all our fine plays and were very generous in their praise of the match officials. Bravo raiders fans. Bravo

Other 50/50s in the game are not relevant to the fact that the refs made a monumental f**k up.

I’m not saying it determined the game, and I’m not saying that the roosters didn’t deserve the win.

The fact that you can’t comprehend this means you’re either mid meltdown, or you’re a dumbmerkin. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.

No they werent. Go and read the game threads... the fan base was not ever cocky about winning that game... if one raiders fan near by was, fine... but the collective fan base was not ever cocky about the result.

You're utterly and completely full of shit.

I’ve said all along it was a monumental f**kup and I’d be livid if I was a raiders fans. What’s your point? The main gist of my posts has been that keary tackle was dangerous. I never tied it to the 6 again call.
