It's games like this where if we win....confidence goes up and the charge to the finals really begins...

However, we are coming off a bye....no moz, mez, friz....

They are coming off a 40 point win...

Will have to be the best performance to date to even have a chance...

You are right but i don't see too many in our team who are capable of doing it,same issue we have had all year ,D has improved the past couple of games but they still lapse at times and of course when they do MANLY will clean up.

I think what we have seen the last few games is as good as it gets this year and that won't be anywhere near good enough against the top sides.

Most lapses have come under weight of possession to rediculous proportions. We have improved out of sight however allowing offloads are still an issue

If Saints can start off the blocks with some quick early tries, they will rattle the Eagles and possible limit them to rushed plays. I think the first 20mins or so will be crucial. If Saints can come out strong their confidence will build and go a long way towards winning the game. If Manly score quick early soft tries it could be a long night.

Young Dragon Charly Runciman switched for epic contest

By MITCH JENNINGS

Young Dragons winger Charly Runciman is expecting the toughest test of his fledgling career as his side look to contain an in-form Sea Eagles backline that, with 47 tries, is the most potent in the NRL.
Runciman has been named in the No 2 jersey in the Dragons' last five games but has switched with centre Gerard Beale to great effect on the left edge to shoulder the bulk of the defensive load.
With the likes of Peter Mata'utia and Dylan Farrell running around for the Illawarra Cutters this week, coach Paul McGregor has shown a lot of faith in the St John's Dubbo junior's defensive abilities.
Runciman has also picked up three tries in four games this season, but this week he faces attacking supremo Daly Cherry-Evans, Jamie Lyon and Peta Hiku on the Sea Eagles' right edge.
Hiku and Lyon have scored 16 tries between them and Cherry-Evans has contributed two, but with 11 try assists.
Throw in fullback Brett Stewart, with six tries for the season, lurking out the back and it promises to be a stern test for the 20-year-old in just his 11th top-grade appearance.
He might give away 239 games in NRL experience to Lyon - who debuted in 2000 when Runciman was just seven - but he said he's looking forward to coming up against a man he admired growing up.
"It's going to be a great test, especially for some individuals who are going to need to work extra hard, including me," Runciman said.
"I've got a fair job this weekend with Daly and Jamie Lyon there [on the right]. He's a great player and there's no better opportunity for me to test myself against such a great centre.
"He's always been a great player, but it's about me stepping up to the challenge this weekend, which I'm really looking forward to.
"There's no better person to step up and try to play to well against."
The Dragons will start as underdogs against the competition leaders, but an upset win at Kogarah on Monday night could put them into the top eight for the first time since round six.
Runciman said the Dragons were seeking to step up again after winning four of their past five games to return to finals contention.
"It will be a big test but I'm pretty sure we're up to it," Runciman said.
"We've been building over the last month to six weeks now, and we're just trying to improve each week on our systems and what we've been doing well and what need to improve on.
"They're a great side but it's similar to the last couple of weeks -we've just got to be better each week. That's all we can ask for."

Wel anything is possible...

Look at the tigers today...

I know dogs were missing reynolds...

I think the heavy toll of 3 tough games in a row showed in their effort today & Tigers seemed up for it. A smart plan by running the Bulldogs around - not bad a for an unwanted coach, but like someone else said,if he was a decent coach they would've put 50 on the Dogs

Hopefully a similar draw will tell on Manly - even though they've had a good break after their last game

They were outside the 8 and smashed the team coming 1st.....? I thought the Tigers were outstanding from just before half time they looked like they had much more energy

Seems all the coaches under pressure, Potter, Cartwright and Griffin had good wins this weekend.
On another note, if we lose to Manly by more than 6 points we will end the weekend in 12th spot, down from 9th.

Go the Dragons!

As good as the week before was for us this week has nullified it if we don't win. Congrats to all of those coaches as they were up against it this weekend. Potters team flogged the top side, Griffen dropped 3 players for disciplinary reasons and got over the Warriors who have also been the top performers with the Bronco's and Dragons over the last 5 weeks. Cartwright came up against the Knights at home on Alex weekend. Very tough for all of them.

I really don't want to contemplate losing but we should line up in single file and exit in an orderly fashion to the designated area (forum) if we do. Most experts tip Manly to win the comp and they flogged the Tigers last week who flogged the Dogs this week. If we have the right attitude and the ref doesnt kill us we will be close and even better when Merrin, Friz and Morris return

Brett Morris named on the wing according to fox sports. Big boost. I think we can do it.

Thats good news! Will be a boost for the rest of the team. Attack wise Charlie has done everything asked of him. 3 tries from 4 games. A star of the future no doubt
