Totally disagree, I think BA has got the balance spot on

When our team is back to full strength:

Kaysa
Terepo
Wicks
Edwards

One nice pass doesn't mean Gower can just walk back in. He's an above average player but we have Edwards of the bench who offers skill and aggressive running.

Moeroa would be on the bench probably for Peni.

Graham had a whinge at the end of the game, watch him harranguing the ref after the firnal siren blew.

I could see why he was having a go. The rules are that video ref can't rule on a forward pass. But The refs got around it by saying that he didn't hear his touchy. Anyway right decision was made in the end. Graham had the right to be angry if you were looking at the letter of the law when it comes to what video refs can rule on. If that happened to us I'd what our captain to rip in as well.

In the end it was Checchin who stuffed up by not listening to his touchy and indicating TRY.

The ref did fine. He signalled and said it was a try IF Parra got a touch on that ball (he thought we did), and asked the bunker to check. They confirmed there was no touch, and the ref made the logical decision (whcih he'd already spelled out.

Graham can cop it sweet - try and just play better James, rather than waste energy on whinging.
Why?

When Manu comes back it would be Edwards who'd drop back IMO to the bench.
Assuming Arthur sticks with his original selection choices, Edwards would indeed return to the bench when Ma'u rejoins the side. Though the coach may wish to rotate starters, acknowledging that Ma'u missed a week of match practice before returning him to the starting 11? It doesn't really matter who starts and who comes from the bench, as long as Arthur has the rotations all worked out to be the best they can be.

Tepai seems to have our 13 spot locked down, until Watmough returns (and even then I'd say Watmough would have a hard time making our top 13 or 17 unless there are injuries or suspensions). I'd prefer Edwards get a starting role, but maybe it's a case of too many cooks... and Arthur is giving Foran and Norman the run of the plamaking with Moeroa out there, instead of risking a more skilled (dare I say Seffa-style middle half) lock clogging up their flow?

He also said on ch 9 immediately after that he just got a good explanation so no need to talk about it any further .... i guess you missed that bit
I did indeed. But unlike the poster I was replying to said, Graham saying that he received an explanation doesn't mean Graham didn't have a whinge in the first place.

personally i would rather gower then peni. Also gower was the one that pass that short ball at the line for semi to score his second try.

I dont think peni offers enough.

We are almost 100% fit in the forwards - Bar Watmough who does look less likely to play each week. It is good to know Gower can do a Job when called upon. Alvaro is next inline with Tanginoa and Rory closing the gap each week.
Would be good to see Uelsai back soon as he might proved a little more then guys like Hasson etc...

Gower is very versatile .. he made some strong runs up the middle the other night. It probably helped that the dogs had been smashed already.

Yeah, Gowie is the player we all hoped that seff wasn't going to be... BA definitely mad the right call on this one.

I love David Gower - I didn't really rate him early on in his career with us, but he's turned me around.

Just finished watching the replay, FMD the penalty against Edwards for hitting Reynolds was extremely soft just before the Dogs try. I replayed it a few times and there was absolutely no chance he could pull out of the tackle and it wasn't late or high.

Seemed like a penalty for the sake of a penalty imo.

If I knew what that meant I'd probably agree with it.

It means that we hoped Seffa wouldn't be a skillful, useful forward, as we'd rather have someone to bag out. Unfortunately, we've got Gowie who is skillful and useful. Our coach is mad that he made such a good decision.
