Rnd 6 vs Tigers

I’d be giving Lomax a go at fullback if that’s what it would take to keep him in the red v. Solid in defense, obviously can catch anything and would love to see him chiming in with a bit more space
If we had a small iota of a chance in 2024 I could see your logic.
But it would only be advantageous in the short term with no view to the future.
Lomax providing awesome service on the wing - leave him there. (or centre)
Let Sloan learn his trade at fullback
He's, potentially, the future!

Sloan responded perfectly today. Safe game, put his body in positions he hasn't been willing to before, took some tough catches, looked dangerous skipping to the outside on that right edge which set up our first. He doesn't need to thrill us every game, this is what Flano has been getting at with him. He will be very happy with Sloan's performance

I'm talking more in attack, I want to see him take the line on

Yes a win is a win but the way the tigers played, any decent well coached team would've lapped them by 24+ points.

We should've won that game by a country mile but instead we limp home and win by 12.

Looking at the draw ahead, I'm struggling to find where the next win will come from for some time, hope I'm wrong but this was definitely not a good performance from us, we were just lucky the tigers were even more insipid and that is the theme to all 3 wins so far this year.
Did you think we'd beat Manly?

I was a fan of Blake Lawrie's in previous seasons, but that time has long come and gone.

Forget about the Bermuda Triangle or the Loch Ness Monster, one of the world's greatest mysteries is how this tub of lard has put on weight since the start of the season. His form has been absolute trash this year. If he's not dropped next week, Flanagan needs his head read.

It's good to get a win, but if we produce that trash against the Warriors next week, we'll get lapped.

P.S. What's taking so long to extend Su'a? He's our best forward by a country mile, he says he wants to stay, get it done for God's sake...
he wants a four year deal

Thoughts from the game:
- Sloan much better with his effort, toughness and positions today, great to see
- Lomax is a freak, god I hate Parramatta
- Su’a needs to be re-signed asap, he’s getting back to Origin levels
- F.Molo quietly good again - might be a sniff for a QLD jersey as there’s lot of injuries in the middle for them
- Couple of assists for hunt, but otherwise he wasn’t good
- I don’t mind too much how many meters the forwards run (especially with our outside backs all running 100+), as long as they’re finding their front for quick play the balls + defending well. Thought our middles did that for the most part today
- JDB so much better off the bench

These are the games the old Dragons lose. They won tonight and for once didn't give me a heart attack in the final few minutes.
Kyle F is quite the silent achiever - really liking him at 5/8. Eisenhuth similarly impressive. Nothing flash but great work ethic and reliable.
Please re-sign Sua, I've got a huge man crush on him.
For a supposedly "marquee" halfback, OMG Hunt get the last tackle options so wrong so often.....
Sloan did well after last week's challenges. Nice to see Flanno back him in the press conference.
I'll take BMM over Lawrie every day of the week. My goodness Lawrie is crap. Whoever offered him another contract last year should be shot.
Lomax really showing his full potential - such a shame he's going to run his career into the ground at Parra.
Congrats to Liddle on his 100th game - was a bit skeptical when we signed him but he's proved to be a good buy - hope his next 100 come quicker and with more success.
This is going to one heck of a roller coaster of a season....

Wow you're getting pretty far ahead of yourself there buddy. I'm sure there'll be a nice string of heavy defeats around the corner for you to realise that.

Do you really think after being ranked 14th for defence after six rounds that a narrow win over the reigning wooden spooners is one of the 'ups' on your so called roller coaster?

I logged in for the first time in 5 years to say that Hunt's kicking game has been trash lately and is the single biggest factor undermining the team's performance. He needs to do better with the coin he is on.

If Hunt can get his kicking game right, the ceiling for this team lifts considerably.

I agree. One out on the full and two 7 tackle sets from caught in goal on the full.

He was brilliant in that try where he picked the ball up. off the ground.

Yes. I agree on all points. Except JDB can also do a job starting if we replace his bench role with Eisenhuth or a Couchman.

You're spot on about the meters. The middles' main job is defence. We don't need too many meters from them, especailly with our huge outside backs. But in this game Molo, JDB, and Blocka ran more meters than Stefano.
