2nd best hooker in the game

He's certainly better than Aaron Payne who the Courier Mail said a couple of weeks back should be the Australian hooker.

I'd say not yet, will be one day, and we'll before Buderus retires. Has the potential to be better than buderus, but isn't there yet. In saying that though, i'd want farrah in my team ahead of Buderus if given the choice.

Tommy Smith said:
Im amazed that people rate Smith so highly. Granted he's a quality hooker but better than Priddis and Farah? No chance. I'd class Dean Young up there with Smith.

Combining current form with long-term class i'd go with:

Bedsy
Farah
Priddis
Smith
Young
Wing
Payne
Riddell
Woolford
Ennis

Hooker is another position in the NRL that's got quite a bit of depth.

A look at some of the bench hookers running around, David Faiumu (NZ Test hooker), PJ Marsh (former Queensland representative), Aaron Gorrell, Nathan Friend, Tevita Latu (former NZ Test hooker), Heath L'Estrange etc shows just how much depth there is in the position.

form wise Simon Woolford must be up there with the best of them this year, he has been a shinning light for us, appears taking the captaincy off him is the best move we've made, payne's been quality this year too

talent wise and consistancy, farah, priddis, buderus and smith are the top 4 for mine

Woolford's form seemed to be a bit down last season.

But I do agree that it's picked up this year and he's been playing very well.

he was nothing short of a passanger last season, i think taking the captaincy off him has taken the pressure off and allowed him to concentrate on his own game, probably 3rd only to Tongue and Thompson for our best player this year

Farah is a gun player. He needs to keep this form up for another 5 years to be mentioned in the same sentence as Buderis.

Great player but he will never be selected infront of Buderus in any side. A long way to go to be compared to a player most consider a better rake than Walters and Elias.

They do?

:?

I'm honestly puzzled. Most I've heard from consider Walters & Elias the greatest of all time.

Well i'm not one of them, i rate the three equally. But i have heard a lot and read a lot into fans and players rating Buderus higher then them.

Thats pushing it a little. Buderis has performed for a few years at the top. Farah will get his turn in a few years. Your not a biased Tigers supporter are you?????

Yup, you do that but that's far from the truth.

I dont blame you for disagreeing as a knights supporter. I grew up watching Elias and Walters carve teams up almost on a weekly basis. Buderus does carve up but not as consistantly as those 2. He is a great player but Walters and Elias were up in the champion Catergory. Maybe we will be saying the same thng about Buderus and Farah in 10 years.

Gus has said he rates Buderus as the best he's seen, and even though Gus has certain agendas and stuff Bedsy hasn't play for the roosters and Gus is a pretty knowledgable bloke most of the time. Personally I never really got to fully appreciate Elias and walters as I was too young when I was watching them and never fully understood the game back then but I can comfortably say without any bias that Buderus is the best I've seen in the past 5 or 6 years.

This forward pack would carve up:

8 O Meley
9 Buderus
10 Asotasi
11 Mason
12 Ryan
13 SBW

Fast delivery from Buderis, ball straight onto the chest of rampaging forwards. Its nice to dream.
