Any chance of you not finding a way to have a go at the Knights in every thread you post in?

Buderus is passionate, and when he's captain he lets this overflow into his addresses to the referee. Nothing more.

Its a well known fact Buderus "spits it" and has a short fuse, straight out of the G.Toovey mould.

Ive never noticed Bedsy to be a whining bitch, no hookers compare to Woolford & Toovey in that regard.

Farah has only had 30 odd first grade games as well so far....there is still a LOT more improvement inn him....I dont care if hes better than A, B or C....hes pretty bloody good in his own right.

Meh, believe what you want...

I'm more than happy with Dean Young at Saints. Truth is that he's probably less of a standard number 9 than the above but is more versatile across the park...

Im amazed that people rate Smith so highly. Granted he's a quality hooker but better than Priddis and Farah? No chance. I'd class Dean Young up there with Smith.

Combining current form with long-term class i'd go with:

Bedsy
Farah
Priddis
Smith
Young
Wing
Payne
Riddell
Woolford
Ennis

I was going to ask that. Is he only filling in at hooker until someone else comes along and the lock position becomes available? Or do you reckon he could be a long-term option at hooker?

Personally i reckon he's better in the back row. But youre right in that he is more than good enough to play hooker, aswell. Glad he's not playing tomorrow.

Im pretty sure this thread is about who is the best 9......not who is the most versatile across the park.

Young isn't a hooker. He is a back rower playing hooker. As a hooker he is nowhere near Buderus, Smith, Payne, Farah or Priddis. IMO the Dragons haven't had a decent hooker since Brownie retired and thats the main reason they haven't won the comp.

Dunno, really. I mean if Saints ever went into the market for a big name hooker he could easily slot into the back row, especially with Timmins going sooner rather than later.

I don't think Dean's reached his potential yet and his kicking and ball distribution especially could improve but the football mind and physical attributes are there, definently. And in any case, he's less hassle off the pitch than Pig ever was!!

Again, it's difficult to compare Young to hookers like Farrah and Priddis because he plays a different style of game. But there's no way he's miles behind the so-called top four as some on here state...

Has Robbie Farah usurped Danny Buderus as the best hooker in the game, at least at club level? Last year he was the best statistically, if not on form. He can create tries in a manner that (at least imo) other hookers in the game can. Picking blindside plays, short balls, a very good kicking game and can break the line. One of his greatest assets however, is his ability to make his forward pack look good. I sincerely believe the Tigers' pack would have been absolutely steamrolled in the final series last year, if not for Farah's deft work around the ruck drawing markers and helping his forward's get over the advantage line.

Admittedly defensively Buderus and Priddis (other as well no doubt) are much better. I think they are better at pinching 10 metres here and there as well. However if the last 2 matches are any indication, his game is about lift a new level. There is no doubt in my mind he's the best footballer in our team, better than Marshall and better than Prince.

So the question is has he gone past Buderus and Priddis?

BTW, I'm not expecting Danny Buderus to be dropped from Rep teams. He's an incumbent and a bloody good one. Obviously for an incumbent to be dropped, the replacement doesn't just have to knock on the door, they have to knock it down and the incumbent's performances at rep level have to fall a bit too.
Also, please don't dismiss me a biased Tigers' fan. If you don't agree, you don't agree. I've been hanging off posting for the fear of being classified as another biased Tiger. So if i'm wrong tell me why and leave it at that!

Best attacking hooker - sure.

Best overall hooker - I don't think so.

Cameron Smith and Danny Buderus are better overall IMO.

But Farah is damn good.
