STATEMENT FROM WESTS TIGERS

Wests Tigers have today been made aware of police allegations against NRL player Robert Lui including domestic violence matters.

Lui has told the club that he will vigorously contest charges laid against him today as result of those allegations.

The matter is now one for the Police and the courts to manage. The club will respect the legal process and respect the rights of everyone involved by not entering into any further comment.

Robert Lui has been relieved of his club duties until further notice so that he can properly concentrate his attention on the matters in question.

Wests Tigers has an inclusive and family orientated culture and does not condone violence against women.

The club will do everything in its power to respect the rights of all parties involved in this matter and to offer appropriate support.

Wests Tigers will continue to monitor this situation.
