Re-signing Lowrie and possibly losing a player like Baiteri is madness.

Is it? I'm a big fan of Baitieri but I was also a big fan of Horo, Robinson, Baumann and Marty Lewis...... all four would be seemingly better players based on potential but none have realised theres while Tood, as malinged as he is has been playing decent football over past weeks.

By my understanding Baitieri is already signed anyway.

I don't think Robson was top 25 at the start of this year, before Finch left anyway... more than happy for him to be re-signed, outside the top 25 again, or on a 55-75K deal. One injury in the halves next year and we're looking thin, and Robson has done well enough alongside Mortimer.

As for Lowrie... I guess on a 55-75K deal he'd be good for depth? Won't make the bench in a full strength 2010 squad. I'd prefer Joe G to be honest, maybe we can end up with both in the 25?

2009 Top 25:
Luke Burt
Nathan Cayless
Josh Cordoba - left mid-season
Brett Finch - left mid-season
Joe Galuvao - currently unsigned
Eric Grothe
Weller Hauraki
Jarryd Hayne
Nathan Hindmarsh
Krisnan Inu
Kris Keating
Matt Keating
Kevin Kingston - currently unsigned
Jeremy Latimore - currently unsigned (I think)
Todd Lowrie - currently unsigned
Tim Mannah
Feleti Mateo
Fuifui Moimoi
Brendan Oake
Junior Paulo - currently unsigned (I think)
Joel Reddy
Ben Smith
Taulima Tautai - currently unsigned (I think)
Etu Uaisele
Broderick Wright - going to the Sharks
+ Mortimer
+ Poore
+ Shackleton
+ Tahu (tbc)

Because it's that easy isnt it?

Just sing this bloke instead of that bloke.

Dont worry that you dont know how much cap room we have, and how much each player would accept to sign.

If I knew this kind of Info, Do you think I would be even writing on this forum?? Do you know how much cap space we have and how much each player will accept? If yes, please do tell.

FFS it was only my opinion, I'm sorry it's not conforming to yours.....:sarcasm:

No Jake, of course I dont. Never said I did.

None of us do, which is why I always find it funny when people say sign this bloke and not him - because it is never that easy.

Happy to have Lowrie, who is unfairly maligned for no real reason, as one of the last top 25 players for back up...Robbo can stay too if he's happy outside the top 25 on a second tier deal, I think we can and should sign (or at least try to sign) a better back up 7 inside the top 25 but it couldn't hurt to have him in a Wenty jersey too

So you don't know ...... because you sounded like you knew from your responses earlier. In that case I stand by comment regarding Joe G and signing him instead of Lowrie.

Yeah, a great back up in the halves. Would rather hold onto Joe G or Kinga than Lowrie though.

Yes but you need to have a plan B if Joe signs with Cleal's mob. Offers to other players are often delayed because of this.

I actually think that Robson`s attacking game is slowly improving over the last two weeks. He did a couple of very good kicks (as well as some pretty ordinary ones) yesterday and last week, and also made a couple of very nice subtle plays which changed the direction of the attack. Look for more improvement over the next few weeks.

the only thing that pisses me off about Robson is his kicking game...

Yesterday with Mortimer off the field, his last tackle options were woeful. Every single time he kicked on the last, it went straight to the fullback...

I mean cmon... make some effort to turn them around or atleast put the ball up in the air so there is a chance we can force a mistake.

What is kicking the ball straight to the fullback going to achieve? FFS!

AFL got the wrong man...it should have been Robson not Karmichael :p

Unfortunately for Kinga, there's a guy waiting in the wings (or at hooker anyway) who will be 3 times the player kinga will be within 12 to 18 months, Anthony Mitchell, is basically the only player in the NYC side that excites me and is already being groomed as fulltime player and will hopefully finish the year in Wentworthville under a decent coach.

if anyone out there things we didn't get more out of Robo than what we outlayed than they're absolute fools..he's been a fantastic investment for the club and should be rewarded with another contract despite the fact his kicking game is poor, I think he'll fight it out with Mitchell for the 14 shirt next year.

despite what Jake says about lowrie, i can tell you that he may be on 180K now but he definitely hasn't been on that much in the last couple of years and i think for 65 to 70K he'll be a great purchase for depth, if we're fairdinkum about worrying how much we pay players then we shouldn't go past the 275k that our underachieving centre is getting at the moment, but apparently nothing is his fault, he just doesn't get enough good crisp ball...lol

I've heard that Kingston was offered a contract but sent it back because there was a problem with it and hasn't seen it back and is now worried that he may not get another one offered to him?? You heard anything like this Stagger?
