Way too many 60s songs. Obviously most of the people who had a say in this list are baby boomers and are biased in their opinion of the best songs.

Pretty good list, good to see that they give credit to alot of influential artists and their songs, rather then just going on whats sold the most records. Only one Metallica song is pretty sad, i can't stand them as a band, but they are THE most influential metal band of all time. Plenty of Stones, Beatles and Dylan, which is good too. plus...

120
I Want You Back
The Jackson 5
1969

IT MADE THE LIST!!! YAY!!!!!

Are you serious? Please tell me you aren't. I'm only 20 but at least I understand and realise that without Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden etc. Metallica wouldn't have even existed. Influential band? Yes. Most influential metal band ever? pfffft.

Only rap song in the top 100. No Wutang, 2Pac, Biggie, Dr. Dre, PE, KRS, dam.....But they got the Mamas and the Papas tho........????????????????

Bring the Noise
Public Enemy
1988

Should have been in the top 100

248
Rappers Delight
The Sugarhill Gang
1979

as should this

287

Walk This Way
Run-D.M.C.
1986

and this.

Other than that, PE got another mention, Eric B & Rakim, Eminem got a couple, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, the Beasties, NWA. Yeah I can see the Dre influence.

Only one I dont agree with is Outkast. Hey Ya is probably the worst, and dare I say it, WACKEST hiphop/rnb track I have heard. Worst than Nelly. Worse than Just Lose It. Worse than MC Hammer or Marky Mark. I sorta agree with that list tho. 1.

That might be because it's about as close to hip hop/r&b as Toxic by Britney Spears.

I'm not going to say too much about the list except that it warms my heart to see Johnny B. Goode up so high :D

Bohemian Rhapsody at #163?
What a load of bullplop. In my (and a LOT of other people's) opinion, it would have to be number 1, or at worst in the top 3.

I think the songs were chosen by their importance and influence on modern music, not if the bands that sung them 'took no crap from no one' or not...
