True, but then, everything he wrote was derivative...

Hmmmm.... another unbeliever from the "That's not writing, that's typewriting" school.

Ive got some audio tapes of Jack reading OTR and it is written for the ear and not the eye IMO. The voice is just another instrument in some smokey jazz combo.

Anything from Rolling stones has gotta be right huh?lol

Anyone who knows music knows not to read this magazine.

RJ wins yet again

PS Joy division says it all lol

As opposed to a list without research, drawn in crayon by some sexually ambiguous wanna be black nuffies, playing a game of dick sword-fights. Which one of you is Webster and which one is Arnold?

I couldn't help but read this, something Zilla should read as their isn't anything worse in the world when an white male thinks his black, wannabe n****rs are almost as bad as turds heading out to bondi.

I hate the f**king Ramones and I hate Neil Young.

I'd comment on the books, but I don't read books unless they're written by Douglas Adams or Tom Gleisner.

You should join my anti ramones club EA

I have more members then all of the Ramones albums sold

They're sh*t RJ, I hate them and I hate what they think they brought to the table. Poncing f**king fartstains on the underpants of music.

They had less musical talent than the Bay City Rollers.

Here's another little list that The Ramones made it on , Ron can jam this list up his coit as well :).
extract;
Here's a summary of a somewhat subjective list of the ten albums that should be in the collection of any new rock fan...

‚ The Velvet Underground and Nico from 1967

‚ David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mar, 1972

‚ The 1976 debut from The Ramones

‚ London Calling from The Clash, their 1979 double record

‚ Licensed to Ill from the Beastie Boys, which came out in the fall of 1986...

‚ U2's Joshua Tree, arguably the biggest-selling alternative record of all time

‚ The first big alternative record of the 90s: Depeche Mode and Violator...

‚ Nirvana and Nevermind - the big gimme - from 1991..

‚ And Radiohead's OK Computer from 1997...

Everything else you can buy can somehow be traced back historically and stylistically to these ten records.

It's an article about how to build a good record collection.

the full blurb can be found here.

Depeche Mode? LOLOLOLOL

f**k that sh*t.

Status Quo - On the Level
Slade - Alive
Led Zeppelin - IV
Bachmann Turner Overdrive - Not Fragile
Queen - A Night at the Opera

If I found a Ramones, Radiohead or Depeche Mode album in my collection I'd punch myself in the face for having such bad taste.

Also noticed who writes these articles, they're so biased it isn't funny.

I don't have to read these opinions, i just listen to the music for me to come to my conclusions.

Rock rock n' roll high school bahahahahhaa inspirational.

If the Ramones were that influential how coem they never had a platinum record.

stick that up your arse lol

depeche mode bahahahahahhaha

Rock and Roll High School gets a run on Showtime "Greats" occasionally.

That is a god awful movie. lol

The most interesting thing about the movie is that the lead girl was in Stripes.

it's all about record sales is it?

No

but if they had such an impact how come know one brought their albums??

They did with KISS, The Beatles, The Eagles, Gunners, Van Halen etc...

Anyway it just shows that the Back street boys had a talent which could appeal to the wider audience.

RJ wins yet again

So we've got the music media majority v Ron Jeremy- a dyslexic who wears his underwear outside his leotard - and EA, who doesnt read books. Makes me treasure my 3 Ramones cds just a little bit more.

I read books, you read posts the same way ceagle does, with your eyelids down.

The Ramones blow dog and I hate them.

Every Rock and Roll cliche rolled up into one toneless bunch of noise polluters.

Sometimes you can get past that and find something worthy to talk about in regard to a band, but not the Ramones, they're f**king awful.
