I wonder if Blacktown's forfeit in Sydney Shield had something to do with their coach being sent off last week. They certainly appear to have plenty of players.

Auburn and Cabramatta were flogged at the hands of Mounties and Hills respectively in the RMC but the shock of the round was when Asquith beat Wenty for the second time this season. Interesting to see James Boustani making an appearance in SS and winning the game with his immaculate goal kicking. Even if Hills win the deferred game against Belrose on 17 August it is hard to see them making up the leeway on Windsor for 8th spot.

Auburn were pretty woeful in RMC but Mounties are a very professional club and this is reflected in their position on the table in all 3 grades. Mounties SS always had the game in hand but had to work a little harder than they might have expected. Auburn started with 16 but with the A Grade washed out, Soane Sitauti was coaxed into having a run with the SS and I thought he made a very strong impression on the Mounties forwards.

I think you may be close there Rightleftin. Heard a rumour the Blacktown Sydney Shield coach was sacked after the incident last week and the players did not want to play this weekend. Don't quote me on that, but that's what I was told today.

Not sure if there's any sort of relationship between Belrose Sydney Shield and Burwood RMC, but just noticed three players who were with Burwood this season, starting for Belrose. The halves combination Blake Nichols and Alex Zarounas have been with Burwood for the past few years, whilst front-rower Dayne Horne was signed there to start the year too.

Yes they have a feeder system. Seems to be pretty beneficial for both clubs looking at the results lately

What happens to Auburn (who I'm led to believe are the current 'Dogs feeder in both grades?)

Also, not sure how many of you use PC's but I put these out each week on Twitter, by the way:

Hope its not true about Windsor. They've had an awful season but they're a big club and good for the competition. If they do drop, that will leave St Mary's as the only feeder side to Penrith.

Kingsgrove have an unusual time spot because the coach and 10 players will be in the A Grade major semi against undefeated Auburn Warriors at Lidcombe at 1.30 and will then join with the Roosters contingent to play RMC against Hills at Beverley Hills at 5pm.

So they're going to go get a hiding at the hands of Auburn's ex-NRL side, then go and get another hiding at the hands of Hills.

Another productive match day for the Kingsgrove Colts.

Kingsgrove Colts first into the Grand Final after beating Auburn

Indeed, 32-0 in the 2nd half. It appears that Auburn have used 30 players in 11 games and although Utai and Nanai were playing today, they well short of the best of those 30, in fact, probably the worst of the 4 teams on display today. No ballwork before the game and only 15 players. If they repeat next week Dragons, who had 7 man interchange today, will blow them away.

Kingsgrove have proved themselves to be a competent A Grade team with 11 wins from 16 games and I would say that A Grade was the priority with an 80-6 loss to Hills with only 15 players used and some the better performers from 1.30 game rested from RMC. I wondered how a team that is flogged every week could keep turning up but I initially didn't realise they were playing in 2 competitions. If the Roosters would let them play SS instead of RMC they might be able to develop competitiveness in that grade.

So they Grand Final goes to Kogarah instead of Belmore.
