This is true. Not being caught does not equal innocence but that is the same for all clubs.

I would ask though what evidence would you need to be convinced any club is under the cap? According to most on here our success or lack therof is definitive proof of if we are cheating or not.

2000-2004 cheating
2005-2012 not cheating
2013-2018 cheating again.
I may be wrong but I don't think there is too much that suggests a lot of people thought the Roosters were cheating in 2000-2004. The conjecture around recent seasons seems to be around the fact that the Roosters can seem to offload a fringe first grader to sign a superstar. The last club to do this claiming players were signing for unders due to culture was Melbourne prior to 2010. It's not proof of anything but it's reason for speculation.

Yeah "fringe" players like James Maloney, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Mitchell Pearce, Dylan Napa, Michael Jennings, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Aiden Guerra, Michael Gordon, Blake Ferguson. Real nuffies that lot

As has been publicly stated it is not illegal to wager $10k on a putt during a round of golf. It would be a personal wager and not have to be declared. The Roosters have plenty of well to do golfers etc in their supporter ranks.

Roosters are making history once again.

Daniel Anderson, who was a highly successful coach at St Helens, is the brother in law of former Toulouse and Hull Kingston Rovers coach Justin Morgan. The distinguished Mr Morgan is now Assistant coach of the New Zealand national rugby league team.

The Almighty Sydney Roosters have connections in every corner of the rugby league world.

Hey forby, did that rash clear up after the dose of anti-biotics?

99% of fans, can't count the less 1% of the total that follow the Roosters want the following questions answered.

How can a club with no juniors, in the most expensive part of Sydney, recruit the most expensive players for unders ?, poach juniors for amounts no one else wil match, have limited members and crowds, have among the lowest TPAs despite a board packed with envied businessmen continue to have no questions asked.

Perhaps it's why there is little Trust in the NRL and its CEO , it doesn't wash for fans .

I think we understand that nothing will be done given the influence of some people, but when ex Roosters players laugh about the sombrero , it leaves most of us mystified.

Ya have to laugh at the 99% of supporters whom in 2017 stated Latrell Mitchell has a shit attitude and Joey Manu cannot tackle. Who'd want them.
Jared Wares Hargraves is past his best. The rest of the forwards are soft.

2018 How can Easts have Mitchell and Manu in the same team. There forwards. Blah Blah Blah. It changes from year to year. If I was advising my kid to make a.choice between 200k at Parra and 120k at Easts or even Souths I know where I would be directing him.

The Roosters don't necessarily get the best young talent all the time. But they develop a lot of good young talent are stable and professionally run.

When you say Develop, I'm not sure that encouraging Jersey Flegg players to come to Easts counts as development. No matter what form that encouragement comes in. Last week, one of the Telecrap "reporters" ran an article about how the NRL fans are wrong about the roosters. How they develop all these teenagers. At least he didn't harm his credibility by calling them " Juniors".
I think I've worked out how easts do it.
Pay the superstars $300k. The next tier, $200k. The also rans, $75k. Build a clause into all contracts that their wage will never increase. Add the published $200k in TPA's . . . and voila !!! Under the cap.

Working under professional, NRL level coaches for years = doesnt count as development.
Happened to play as a kid in the local area under a mates dad as coach = development.

Nailed it

Or if a player played for another club in Matts or Ball shouldn't be included as such either

Playing in a CC junior rep team shouldn't be included as local Easts development. They are CC developed the players eg Mitchell

The greatest rookie of the last five years, Victor Radley, was a Bronte born product of the Sydney Roosters' junior development system, in the form of the mighty Clovelly Crocodiles.

Only the Sydney Roosters could develop a talent like our Victor.

It is amzing the value some in rugby league put on where a kid happened to grow up and play u10s.

I don't know of any other sport that puts such an onus on that.

Thanks for the validation Adam.
You know, I'm actually starting to like you. And I'm starting to think there is less likelihood that you are indeed one of the suite of Alberts.

Development ( which was the subject ), is generally seen as a kid progressing through the junior rep, district, state, etc teams of his age group.
Not a club buying the best 17 yr old rep players that have been progressing through another club's pathways.
Sure, it's cheaper, and Easts don't have to waste all that time, effort and money . . . but, . . . . ah forget it. You wouldn't understand.

You'd think the roosters would have celebrated their first bona fide junior in a bigger way. Meh, unchartered waters, and all.

I'd guess they do.
But if Albert J Rosenfield, the world's biggest ROOSTERS fan, gets all moist over one local junior that comes good . . . . then I'm guessing your juniors might not be all that good. Hence the tactic of "digging in other people's veggie patch. And even more hence . . . you know how every NRL fan says you have no juniors ?
It'd be interesting to go back over the past say, 5 years, and count the local juniors in any given team.
I know Albert would like to start with Radley ( great prospect, btw )
