Roosters 5 Classic Matches Pack...

Anyone purchase this? I've noticed they've had this DVD out for a while for other clubs, & finally I found ours ($25)!

The five complete games are...

1982 Semi-Final vs Magpies
1996 Round 6 vs Rabbitohs
2000 Semi-Final vs Knights
2002 Semi-Final vs Broncos
2010 Semi-Final vs Tigers

Memories of these matches, guys? The one against the Knights will always be dearest to my heart, that had everything. The build up (remember Newcastle's, "Destiny," talk?), the half-time deficit & an arrogant Andrew Johns yahooing & laughing coming down the tunnel for the second forty minutes, the revival, Brad Fittler's intercept of Johns' long ball, that Luke Phillips rib breaker in a sensational hit which probably saved the game (& Phillips was alone against Johns in possession with a support player to boot!), the forty busloads of Knights fans being drowned out by the Roosters crowd, & finally, Johns' unforgettable dummy spit at full-time! All against the backdrop of dead-set one of the most pulsating games ever seen!

Who else has fond memories of one of this DVD's games?

Broncos/Bennett just couldn't stop whinging after 2002 defeat. Something about the penalty count. Seeing Langer go out like that was wonderful.

Holy shit, just watched the 2010 Final against the Tigers. Haven't seen it since the night it happened --- now I'm not so sure if the 2000 Semi against the Knights was the best after all!

Hard to decide, both great nights and lucky enough to be there for both. The Newcastle game got us into a grand final for the first time in ten years, however I jagged a spot in the NRL box for the Tigers game.

I've got all of those Essentials packs so far, nine box sets. That Eels 74-4 win over the Sharks, that Knights 70-32 win over the Raiders...some awesome sets.
That Roosters one...waiting out for that one badly!

I remember that stunning comeback against the Tigers, too.

Can't believe they didnt include the 2003 GF. Objectively, that was an extraordinarily entertaining game (best GF ever?) & it won them a premiership! Crazy to leave it out.

Went to all 5 of those Rooster games (including 1982) so will be picking this up that's for sure.
