Todd Carney has failed the NRL.
cleary89 you and I agree on very little, this is one of those rare occassions. Your post is 100 times more accurate than the OP.

The Roosters and the NRL have not failed him. If anything they've been far too good to him.

People talk about 2nd chances (and 3rd and 4th and 5th) and I'm also all for compassion and forgiveness. But at some point personal responsibility has got to come into it, others can't run around trying to clean up your mess forever. You make the decision to cut the crap or you don't and ruin all the good luck that has come your way in life. Sadly, it looks like Carney is choosing the latter.

Didn't Carney have 12 months on the sideline in 2009?

What would change?

the whole filthy club is an embarrasment on the game - if Easts or Sydney City or whatever the F*rk they call themselves these days cannot stop bringing the game into disrepute then the whole filthy club should be struck off the comp effective immediately

This guy right here, he speaks the truth.

Typical souths supporters coming in and giving it too the roosters rather than discussing the situation properly. Souths are the lowest of the lowest

I'd boot them before anyone if I had a choice

You miss the post where I put the blame on Carney and specifically say the Roosters don't owe him anything and have not failed him and have done more for him than he deserved?

But you just read whatever suits your agenda you f**kwit.

Hahaha. Agenda

Your the f**kwit mate....you prove it everytime you post
So the fact that we actually agree about the Roosters means nothing. Instead of discussing the situation you spend an entire post just bitching about me. Good on ya, I'm smiling as your club slides to the bottom of the ladder yet again.

To be honest, it's hard not to enjoy the irony that Carney is getting in trouble when it appears he has done little wrong on this occassion.

Since he joined the Roosters I've seen with my own two eyes occassions where he was lucky there wasn't a journalist present. It got to the point where one could be forgiven for assuming the Roosters had an AFL-style influence on the media to ensure they received positive press.

So to see Carney copping it, despite doing something relatively minor, is quite refreshing. Particularly for a Raiders fan after having to sit through the nauseating Carney love-fest/second coming of Jesus rubbish that we were forced to endure last year.

I don't want em kicked out. Thats ridiculous.

They're our whipping boys and I'd hate for that to be taken away.

I'm surprised that his team mates sit there and watch him drink. They would be well aware of the pledge he made earlier in the season.

He always seems to find the biggest dipsh*ts to hang around with. In Canberra it was Bronx Goodwin and now it seems to be Friend and Watts.

Even for garbage articles that was garbage. My favorite part was the whole premise that we should forget about a sickening assault on a young woman because the bloke that did it "doesn't have star power". What a load of sh*t.

Yawn. I'm not clicking on any News Ltd websites any more. Their coverage of this and attempts to destroy a young man's career for committing no crime have been sickening.
