SDM - He is no dud. We have played our best football this year when he has been on the park.

Delivery from dummy half both left and right was the best we had.

He clearly had a size issue, and in particular with the small halves that we also possessed this was a REAL CONCERN, but more importantly and the REAL issue was his attitude. I have been told from a number of reliable people that he simply failed to show the right attitude to his career. Both on and off the park. If the Roosters can fix this they will have themselves a quality 9 or 14.

Yeah, we showed those useless pricks from the Storm how to play footy.

Moving on. If the murmurs about his attitude issues are true, then this a good move.

Good riddance. Dud.

He's not a dud, so what that he can't tackle and has a poor attitude at training, he's zippy. Check out his awesome running stats for the last three games, 5 runs for 19 metres, 4 runs for 12 metres and 3 runs for 10 metres. Damn you're right, he is a dud.

foreel, trust me you're unaware of why he's gone. Let it go. I liked him too but the club made the right decision considering the circumstances

No he isn't. First and foremost he offers little to our team on the field.

My post wasn't meant to be sarcastic, I don't rate the kid and I'm glad Kearney is getting rid of the deadwood in the club.

I'm not doubting it but it's just become such a convenient excuse for when we lose any decent player.

Kind of like when any off-field NRL incident meant that the player has bi-polar.

Does Matt Keating have something on our board ?

How the hell can we keep letting good hookers go all the while persisting with such a vanilla ordinary player.

In typical parra fashion we wait untill a player is ready for first grade and then sell them off. Parra are turning into a selling club , one which develops youngsters and then sells them off to the highest bidder.

Mitchell should do well at the Roosters, Smith probably picked up a rising star on the cheap.

I don't get it?

Why is Mitchell a "good hooker" and Matt Keating "vanilla ordinary"?

MK has had 3 different coaches prefer him over Mitchell.
Mitchell can't tackle; and his running game is seriously overrated. His passing game from dummy half is quite poor too.

MK might be vanilla ordinary, but it's better than chocolate awfulsauce isn't it?

not to fussed about this loss. looks like sk wants to develop keating into an 80 minute hooker and against st george he looked good.

obviously mitchell never breaking through into top grade is a sign that he isnt actually meant to be there...not for us anyway

hope he gets some games at roosters though

He made a half break in the allstars exhibition touch footy rematch. Get with the program dude.

Its an analogy.

We spend a heaps of money on developing then let a player go for whoever will pay the player more money.

Rather then decline the offer and stick with the player who we spent the money on.

Your "selling" the talent off instead of keeping the guy you spent a heap of money on developing.

Keating is about only good at tackling.

Mitchell is faster, better passer and is a better all round prospect. Add on the fact that you let him go mid season meaning we now have zero depth at hooker and you can understand why we suck.

If Mitchell is so much better why has he failed to show anything outside of the Allstars game?
