A week without footy? I reckon we'll be ok. Friday night footy, Autumn carnival racing Saturday, Jones V Rashad on Sunday, then more footy. Sounds ok.

Or you could mow the lawn then take the wife out for tea. That'd be nice.
Just did the lawns.

Might have to shout the better half a night out......

This is rugby league, it's not soccer.

Origin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>international footy.

I'm more interested in NSW v QLD than test footy when we beat everyone except NZ all the time. And we beat NZ whenever we take them seriously.

Yeah, like the 2008 World Cup Final and some Tri Series finals

Id be more happy for Origin to be played over 3 consecutive weekends and forgo club footy for that whole time, so long as there was a Pacific Cup on provide me with my fix.

No club footy for a weekend would be tolerable for Origin, but it's a pain in the arse for a test and city v country.

I think it's more NZ beat us whenever it's a game worth playing for.

We went into those games assuming we'd win.

Since the last time they beat us we've finally started taking them seriously and they don't come close.

We'll belt them another couple times including this upcoming Test, then we'll start taking them lightly again and they'll win something again.

Sydneysiders are lazy enough about getting to a first grade game.

What did the Penrith-Parra massive derby game get? Like 13k? If 1st grade rivals get a crowd like that the lack of crowds at lower grades starts to make sense.

I'm off on a blokes weekend down in the Southern Highlands with in-law family members plus people like me who have married or about to marry into the family. Most of us have NRL teams that we support quite passionately... not sure if it was done purposely or just coincidence.

Sooner just pay the help because it is a menial job, wouldn't you?
I pay 'the help' to do jobs I can't do. I'm not a mechanic, I pay someone to fix my car.

I am a man, a well endowed one at that, so I'm capable of masculine jobs like mowing the lawn.

I would have thought anything that helps draw attention to International football is a good thing. And then the laughable thing is, that most NRL fans on here when getting into a AFL vs Rugby League debate like to point out how AFL has never grown intrnationally outside of Australia, all the while not giving our Internatioinal game any support or dues at all. Nice.
