1. Tim Moltzen
2. Marika Koroibete
3. Blake Ayshford
4. Chris Lawrence
5. Matt Utai
6. Benji Marshall
7. Jacob Miller
8. Jack Buchanan
9. Robbie Farah
10. Keith Galloway
11. Braith Anasta
12. Liam Fulton
13. Adam Blair

14. Matt Bell
15. Ben Murdoch-Masila
16. Bodene Thompson
17. Eddy Pettybourne

18. Joel Reddy
19. Aaron Woods

(two to be omitted)

Pretty much expected. Backrow looks very weak/lacking impact. No depth at prop. Not sure why Reddy is there?

Really hope Woods will play but I doubt it.

I think that's about as good as we could expect. Obviously it would be good if Woods was named to play, hopefully this is the last time we read the name Reddy anywhere near the team sheet. Still wish Tedesco was named but that's just wishful thinking at this stage I guess.

But it's not 10pm yet, Sheens would be in shock to see a team announced in daylight hours!!

I thought Buchanan looked really good in the Roosters trial so its good to see him get another go.

I'd play Tedesco over Moltzen but lets see how he goes. The starting backrow is light. The bench looks really good.

I think overall that is a pretty good team. Lets see how they go.

While it would have been good to see James Tedesco back in the number 1. He needs more match fitness than just two trial games. Let remember he is returning from a serious knee injury. A few games in the NSW Cup and he will kick Moltzen out of first grade.

I'd have Reddy instead of Moltzen or Ayshford. I'm prepared to say I'm wrong if they both lift their games on last years performance. Ayshford needs a massive improvement which I believe he is capable of.

Would rather Reddy on the wing than Utai and would prefer him at fullback over Moltzen. He has the height and the heart to contest the ball in the air which puts him ahead of each of those blokes who were shown lacking in that aspect of the game in the trial against the Roosters.

I would assume Reddy is on stand by for Chris Lawrence. I think if Moltzen is not setting the world on fire he will be in reggies quicker than he thinks, especially if Teddy is lighting it up there.

On a positive note, how nice is it to finally have 4 forwards on the bench?

Good to see Potter taking a gamble on Buchanan. Shows a lot of faith in the lad. Wish our coach had the grapes to play our rookie half. Best of luck to Jack, and hope he kills it for the tigs.

hahahaha

Ayshford at his absolute worst is better than Reddy at his absolute best.

Reddy should be in the NSW Cup at best.

I would be surprised if we run our forwards at Newcastle centres, make the hard yards out wide, because I can't see us having any impact against that Knights pack up the middle, especially without Woods.

I didn't see the trial, but from what I read in the herald Potter was not at all convinced by Miller and said Moltzen was still in the mix for halfback. It was a small article but it sounded very much like Moltzen is very much in Potters plans.
