Would be nice to get one more, but it's turned into just a training run out there. Save it for the Bulldogs.

Kept them scoreless in the second half. Great first up performance, bodes well for a good competitive season - top 8.

As much as our team has been toughened by out gains: taka, champion, watmough, and getting mai back and tepai with a preseason, their side has been decimated.

Lost Glenn Stewart and choc. Injuries to their toughest few players. Plus their additions are feleti Mateo in the worst shape I've ever seen, and willie at 105 years of age.

f**ken they are on the decline.

Maybe it is a myth that they can retain board instability and keep a winning culture?

Or just the normal salary cap attrition?

We needed to come out and make a statement tonight and I feel we have done that. Absolutely manhandled...

Have alot to work on, but it's definitely as physical as we have been in a while.

Agree they're in a bad state, but I'd say it's nprmal salary cap attrition - at least that was the reason behind losing G Stewart and Watmough.

Lyon is another year older too, and looking less effective - he was only up against Champion/Takarangi (didn't even clock which side of the field he was playing) and couldn't really make a break or play all night.

With their two halves actively shopping for offers elsewhere, they're just not going to pull it together to be as competitive this season.

That's our new strength now. We have quite a strong (if underrated) pack in the whole scheme of things, with a bit of flair toward the edges as well.

Parra looking very strong, it could be a good year......hard to imagine considering where they were a couple of years ago.

Dont get too excited. Manly are a bottom 4 team. We would have got pumped if we played a quality team.

Its ironic that we play a conservative style yet have more handling errors than the opposition.
