i was thinking about that very thing myself on my long journey home from Kogarah to the Hawkesbury this afternoon.Interestingly all 5 signings are playing.
No Sailor in the team is the biggest disappointment for mine.
If it makes it any easier, I hear Graham enjoys getting out on his speedboat..No Sailor in the team is the biggest disappointment for mine.
That idea is a good one however, I'd rather see BB start at 9 and Luke in CC until he improves his fitness.I’d go Clune on the bench instead of BB then pop Hunt into 9 when Luke needs a spell and give the young fella a crack. Show some balls Mary!!
Why do you say Luke has a problem with his fitness? That idea is a good one however, I'd rather see BB start at 9 and Luke in CC until he improves his fitness.
Millward’s fault? Why do you say Luke has a problem with his fitness?
As a fullback, Sailor = Dufty.Yeah .. i could easily cope with Sailor in 1 and Williame/Lomax in the centres.
I mean Sailors defence is shite and anywhere but fullback he will be slaughtered .. but at 1 he can be protected by the front line a little more.

Seriously though, we have bought Luke for one season and probably the last season of his career.
OT I have to agree - this team selection is not typical of Mary.i was thinking about that very thing myself on my long journey home from Kogarah to the Hawkesbury this afternoon.
I was also thinking about how many of the ones we have let go to other clubs over this and the last couple of years are also in the starting 17's for Rd 1 at other clubs i.e Sele, Herbert, Garrick, Robson, Leilua.
The Luke issue is somewhat forced by the Mc Innes injury but we did let Robson go and also signed BB.
The journeymen centre from EPL ousts a permanent fixture in Aitken where former quality junior players who are now establishing themselves at other clubs could not get a shot Garrick, Herbert.
Leilua couldn't hold down a spot was let go and replaced by a journeymen 2nd rower who will be at best an impact player off the bench while Mc Fookknuckle f**ked around and tried to make Luciano a > 60 minute player that was too gassed to have any impact.
In the meantime we are still f**king around trying to make props like Lawrie into locks ( He will try with Merrin as soon as Kerr is back) and meanwhile Sele will play back row at a strong Souths side under Bennett.
So the equation is did we really sign better than what we let go and the question after that is how do new players on their last legs (Luke) and others not yet proven in the NRL get a start game 1 when others at our club could not?
In summary it staggers me how someone who is renowned at our club for pig headedness can think that what we have signed this year is so superior to what we had last year (and a couple of years before) while what we let go was inferior and not worth looking at or persevering with.
Could it be we have a passenger in the coaches box?
Similar name, different guyJosh Aloiai is a good ex Cutters player who didn’t get the chance to play FG at the Dragons at a time when we’re very low on front row talent. He starts for the Tigers.
I would have picked BB starting also, mainly to strengthen the bench.Well I hope Lafai is playing right centre.
I would have selected Frizell at lock and T Sims and Ford in the second row.
I'd have Merrin and Lawrie in the prop rotation off the bench.
I would hae selected Britain at 9
I still would have Saab rather than Ravalawa on the right wing
I stand corrected - different person (I think he had the same name). I think our Cutters Josh went to QLD cup afterwards.Similar name, different guy
Early career[edit]
In 2014 and 2015, Aloiai played for the Parramatta Eels' NYC team.[5] On 18 October 2014, he played for the Junior Kiwis against the Junior Kangaroos.[6] His 2015 season was hampered by injury. He said, "I was running and as I was getting tackled my hip subluxed and it the process fractured my posterior wall of my hip."[7] On 11 November, he signed a 1-year contract with the Wests Tigers starting in 2016.[8]
