Our middles are too slow. Changing the winger won't do much. Should give finau latu a debut next week. Has leg speed, power and footwork. Loko wouldn't help with that but would add size to the bench.

Next week, no R Couchman, Emre may be suspended. Like to see Finau in for Feagai, Lids to get on earlier.. Blocka probably back next week

Very disappointing game. Ilia, Gutho and Feagai had poor games. We need better middle forwards.

Ramsey to replace Feagai.
Klemmer will hopefully arrive for next week's game.

Liddle to be given more game time.
We need better than Ilias.

I really don't think Klemmer is the answer, he is nothing more than a plodder and way past his best.

Dragons fightback falls short in season opener

The Dragons were unable to kick-off 2025 in winning fashion falling to the Bulldogs 28-20 in front of a sold-out Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday evening.

I can only imagine how furious the coach would be over the Francis Molo thing.
If Guler is suspended and Sele/Lawrie still unavailable...it gets more dire.
We've just got rid of a major road block in Hunt and then this presents at the worst possible time.

I thought the Dogs superior forward pack was a huge part of the result. Going to be hard to see this play out each week.

I really didn’t want us to sign Ilias, I have never really rated him.
Grubs got a few square up penalties either side of half way who they capitalized on. At least 2 tries given off forward passes and the badger was never gonna give us a drop out off that kick off with the foot going on the dead ball line after the catch.
All in all they probably deserved the win with their defense in the middle, but Flanno really needs to make some subtle changes for next week.

We probably need both Lawrie and Klemmer the way things are going, swap maybe not the play.

I left 25 minutes early yep go ahead tell me I'm not a real fan. But what I witnessed was pretty pathetic. First game of the year against our arch rivals at our spiritual home ground and that's what they dish is.

I don't understand why we signed and aging Cook, Liddle was amongst our best players last year. People were so caught up in their dislike for Ben Hunt they were diluted into thinking Ilias was a good signing he sucked before he got injured and he sucks worse now the most unimaginative halfback in the league thankfully we have Atkinson but that's another season away. We've known this for ages but we need props bad we also need speed bad how the hell did Feagai get selected he's played 1 good game from about 60.

Tough night for our back 5 in ball returns. Burton has the ball on a string. Height perfect and lands in our hands as soon as his defenders reach out. So missing out on 10-20m on tackle one.
Really lacking go forward and I’ve read klemmer will be coming in next week, though not sure how much or a difference in meters it’ll make.
Ryan ACL, so tough for the young fella.
Tough having two 9’s, I really thought liddle would come on early and one of them would play 13 though didn’t happen but lids changed the game. Though dogs were tiring.

Tough loss to take round 1. Coaching staff stayed in the box 15mins after full time , full of anger. Weren’t happy
