I guess Sims not being picked is the only big surprise for me.

Didn't think Beale would get the centre spot over Glenn either.

Poor form Ivan!! What must Sims and Setu be thinking?? Out played in a trial all of a sudden gone.. On form Tim Smith should be halfback and Wallace should be looking for a new team!!

can someone give me the goss on where yow yeh stands? i picked up beale for an absolute bargain in my fantasy league (very happy he's been named)... but paid big overs for yow yeh as i was still short on wingers.

is he injured? disappointing in trials? how far down the pecking order would the bloke be? he's certainly a talent from what i've seen of him.

Yow Yeh is out for a few more weeks yet .... injured.

Who is this Dodds fella in the forwards ? I hope he can stand up against the more experienced Cowboys pack

Yow Yeh conteversially injured his knee during the all star game. The controversy is that if the injury had happened during a bronco trial, he would of been immediately taken off the field as it was he was left out on the field for about fifteen minutes and risked doing serious injury ( cruciate ligament) which would of put him out for the season and required a long and exhausting rehabilitation. Yow Yeh has had minor surgery since then to fix the knee problem but will be out until round 10 or thereabouts.

Dodds? Is a front row forward who played in the Broncos NYC team in the Toyota Cup inaugurual year. He was partnered in the front row by Josh Mcguire and Andrew McCullough and the side went on to the final. Last year he played with Broncos affiliate Wynnum Seagulls. Bit of less thrills then McGuire but he defends strongly.

I assume you mean Josh not Casey...

I have also found the omissions of Setu and Sims quite surprising! Does anyone know what the injury status is with these guys? I thought in particular Setu had some good trial form??? I also thought Glenn would play centre permanently until Hodges got back. Lot's of people seemed to be concerned with Beale's defence but haven't seen enough of him.

Its getting closer and closer. The excitement is building. Nrl 2010 is almost here!! With Ivan Henjak naming his team today! The mystery to the team's makeup has been answered after weeks squabbling over who should be in or out. I'm a bit surprised at the omission of Sims, I think his capacity as a starter in the front row improved in the run into the finals last year and at the very least a bench spot was warranted. Norman at fullback is less than surprising with the form in the trials but i think he's got first opportunity at it and if Hoffman shows some form this could be a good productive battle. Also keeping in mind Norman is still eligible for NYC. Ok!! Now left centre is another position that there has been fair bit of discussion over and Beale was selected there. For all you Michael's haters out there this must be a huge relief for you. I think with Michaels given the opportunity to play a couple of weeks in qld cup and get a bit of confidence. I won't be surprised if we do see him in nrl side after that. My prediction, i'm going to hold off until friday. But i'm expecting this one to go down to the wire.

Yeah, it was my mistake. I apologise. It wasn't the first time i've swapped their names around.

Dodds didn't play once with Wynnum last year. He played 20s. Went to the same school as Jared Waerea-Hargraeves.

Dodds was injured @ the beginning of last year when he was suppose to be playing for the seagulls but i don't follow them so i don't know whether he played. Later in the year he did play under 20's but i don't remember how many games.

We all know Henjak is useless but at least he sees rubbish! No Hoffman, no Micheals. That is good!

Get a grip beads.

I am trying I can't hide my disgust though.. This was Sims year and he is playing QLD cup it is a debacle. Not to mention Setu the enforcer with more potential than any of the Broncos forwards!!

I'm stoked with this team. The only thing that I am disappointed with is no Sims and I was really surprised to see Dodds get a run.

In my opinion Glenn didn't get a run in the centres because Henjak was worried that McCullough wouldn't be able to go the full 80 and I am glad that he didn't go with Smith or Hunt on the bench.
