No the biggest load of ****!! Is the bench Henjak named. He is clueless really sending babies out against a massive cowboys pack!!

I am not even excited about Friday night I am furious about that bench!! :x

Yeah, but don't forget we're sending a bunch of spastics out against your talented backline...

I am trying I can't hide my disgust though.. This was Sims year and he is playing QLD cup it is a debacle. Not to mention Setu the enforcer with more potential than any of the Broncos forwards!!

How would you know if it was Sims' year? Have a time machine with you mate?...Oh how awesome that'd be.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather see the team play on Friday and make my assessment then. I believe our pack can handle the Cows and it should be an exciting opener.

Of course, you can continue your chicken little routine.

Setu isn't an enforcer. Potentially, he could be - but putting on the occasional shoulder charge doesn't make him an enforcer. He misses twice as many as he pulls off anyway. Carl Webb is supposed to be an enforcer...please...

Precisely.

As far as I'm concerned, the majority of the side should've been on noticed this offseason.

Only Lockyer, Kenny, Thaiday and Parker should've been guaranteed spots.

The rest would have to work for them. Some more harder than others.

More to the point - why is Sims is so deserving of a spot anyway? What has he done to justify selection over Dodds and Gillett?

Let's not forget that Thaiday will be playing some prop as well, so even though our bench appears light, it won't be as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

FWIW - People said the same thing last year about our pack against the Cowboys in round 1, and we won that.

I think we should wait to see how the team actually performs on Friday before we start the 'sky is falling' rants.

Really disappointed that Sims missed out. He should starting instead of lazy Teo or at least on the bench where he could be used as another prop or second rower.

Michaels is playing for Wynnum. Probably marking Clinton Toopi. I'd prefer Dodds to Michaels to be honest.

I would have thought his form at the back end of last season. Let's not forget that the memorable win over the Dragons was on the back of Kenny and Sims' pearler game up front smashing their forwards. It was a great show of football by the whole team, including the coach, but the platform was set early for the Broncos with the intimidation Sims laid out. I thought he had made up (or almost...) for the dropped ball back in '08, and so he deserves a run in '10.
I'm actually quite enthusiastic about the young side we've got. With all due respect to the cowboys, I don't think there's any other side that would be better to be trialling the youngins against. Can't wait to see Norman in action. I've never really seen anything of Beale to be impressed with either, but I've heard many people on here talk about him and I'm willing to be corrected.

Sims must have disappointed in the trials, because he destroyed that Dragons pack and single handedly took the "Poore factor" out of the game.

That being said, if he's deserving of a spot, he'll earn it. The encouraging thing about this side is that Henjak appears to have thrown the "old favourites" selection handbook out the window.

Sims' biggest problem is motivation IMO. Yes, he punished St George in the finals last year, but where was that attitude the rest of the year? There's no doubt he has the ability.

Looking for a fast track to improved motivation? Try a stint in the Queensland Cup ... good move by Henjak. Hold him back until he has a blinder in Qld Cup and then unleash the beast!

He did nothing in Qld Cup last season

Yeah I vaguely remember Sims and McGuire tearing the opposition apart for Norths at the start of the season.

Who cares what he does at the start of the season? Its at the end of the season when he gets dropped and he how he performs that counts. Most blokes like Sims just kick stones.

Dodds was injured @ the beginning of last year when he was suppose to be playing for the seagulls but i don't follow them so i don't know whether he played. Later in the year he did play under 20's but i don't remember how many games.

Right... so first you say Dodds played for the Seagulls then you say you don't know if he played:lol::lol:
