If leniu isn’t fit enough to play longer minutes in fg he needs to get fitter and not in fg. Give someone who is fit enough the minutes they have probably worked harder for them.

We had a big issue with a lot entitled players here a couple years ago, rolling out the red carpet for the young guys is not the way to do it, they need to earn it. These coaches have lost two games since the start of 2020 give them some credit.

To drop a guy who's played so few minutes and still contributed so well to the team over fitness issues is pretty hard to reconcile when he'll go an extended period without any game time. His match fitness now not only won't improve but is actively being diminished.

I disagree, we have a really strong squad there’s nothing wrong rotating the middle forwards for a few weeks. None of the bench forwards should be guaranteed a spot. Leniu has not had a game this season as good as sorenson played on the weekend, you don’t just pick him because he is supposed to be better than sorenson and Huth.

How is that worse? It's by a bigger or equal sized prop at least. Eisenhuth's first play off the bench against our best competition is more indicative of his impact than some first tackle he made against Manly, is my point.
What I meant by worse was that it was a bigger hit. But I think you're understating Brandon Smith a bit mate to act like it's worse to smashed by Smith compared RCG just because RCG's bigger. Eiso isn't the first prop to be smashed by Smith and he won't be the last.

Giving lower grade players who are 1st grade, quality opportunities thwarts any stone kicking and staleness amongst the ranks.

Giving other players the chance to play NRL when they have rightly deserved it is great player management.

And it will be these players who will end up permanently in the top squad when players eventually move on.

We're trying to get Spencer more match fit with him not playing at all?

He has clearly been dropped. God only knows why. But if we wanted him being match fit he would be playing. The clubs were told last Thursday that players who played NSW Cup might not be eligible. We dropped him for our side the same day, but even if we did so before being informed we could have gotten an exemption to bring him back in if we wanted to get him minutes. We chose to not have him play at all.

This week we have a bye in NSW Cup and he's still not getting any minutes yet again so he's clearly only going to be going backward as a result of being dropped. Well match fitness wise atleast.

He can get fit without playing and if he’s going backwards in any area because he has missed two games then he has some bigger issues than match fitness.

0 mins for 2 weeks.. if dropped for match fitness is dumb
Exactly. If he needs game time he's certainly not getting it when he has been dropped from the only team he could play for that week.

Makes zero sense to bring him back against a better team if we're concerned for his fitness and he hasn't played for 2+ weeks. If he played next week it would be 3 weeks since his last game. But he would be very unlikely to be recalled without having gotten minutes at all and so he would be atleast another fortnight away barring injuries.

Compare Spencer and eisenhuths numbers, they are almost identical it’s a little bit uncanny. Neither has been bad but it’s underwhelming from leniu given how he looked last season. A lot of people here think huth is a plodder and is not good enough yet leniu is not doing much better.

He can't get MATCH fit without playing.

If we're wanting him to play more minutes to improve his fitness how would playing less minutes not have the opposite result? Getting no time at all is clearly a backwards step for match fitness.

Look at the minutes played though. Leinu is matching him while ave around 10 less minutes a game

Something clearly happened. He was at Wollongong to watch WT after the Bathurst game. Maybe he missed a team meeting or something to do that.

Very strange otherwise

They can flog him a shitload harder at training if they aren’t worried about keeping him fresh for a game on the weekend
