I could cop Wighton at centre over Latrell. Latrell was dropped for being a wanker when he was the best centre in the game and is still a wanker. He was crap last year but I think would be fine outside Luai/Crichton.

At five eighth it would be a disaster. He’s in crap form and is an awful pairing with Cleary. Walker has flopped twice in Origin and is 31. Luai is in sparkling form, is solid defensively, works with Cleary well, is passionate as hell, has a great temperament for Origin and could be there for 5+ years.

I don’t get the wighton obsession tbh, he’s best origin games have been at centre, he’s just a great runner. His kicking game is a liability, his ball playing is average for a half. He literally just runs the ball well.
Only got to look at the performance of his NRL club to guage his value, even taking into account the quality of some of his club team mates.

Simply put the entire Panthers backline in the SOO side, with Yeo and Martin in the forwards.
I found this article, some are questioning Brian's lack of height, as a hinderance, and therefore, he should not be selected for SOO because of that. His stats are impressive, and therefore, he is a must pick.

Maybe the same people who want a specialist fullback at 14.

Going for our 10th win in a row and I'm not looking forward to the game, this insane crackdown is that ridiculous.
It's a lottery, there is no way to prepare for it.
We are fitter and more disciplined than most teams so hopefully that helps.

I reside with the fact that Kiks will cop 10 at some time.

Stupid reaction by the NRL. Accidental is now classed the same as wilful intent.
The amount all these incidents get at the judiciary will be interesting.
All the giants of the game like kiks are going to have to be careful.
The problem is It could just as easily be Cleary tackling someone who has tripped in a pot hole getting sent off or suspended for no real reason.
These rules could easily kill a few teams season.

Not sure what concerns me more that or the poor surface. Generally we don't do too many high shot. Just give kiks a break so he isn't so tired.

The ground is poor and will get worse as the day moves on

No one is though Manly game had 11 on report. 4 others binned for high shots.

1 got a ban
4 got fines

MRC can use things like failing in a tackle when deciding suspensions. Refs just can't at the time which is dumb

I think there should be three categories: Intentional; reckless; accidental.

- Intentional, like Kafusi, and Rikki, send off or sin bin
- Reckless like Radley and Hetherington, sin bin, send off if it is extremely reckless like Papali, or cause severe injury like Hetherington.
- Accidental, like Gamble, penalty. Head shots on players falling in tackles at the last minute, like Tedesco does every week, should be a penalty only. Yesterday the Sharks player could not get out of the way regardless if the penalty was death by hanging.
