Magic more like tragic round sin bins send off's on report what a joke.Fancy denying us the try of the yr for an elbow to the chest.

A fend, something that has been part of the fabric of the game since its inception but now apparently illegal or forceful whatever that means? Honestly I am really fuming just now, this massive over reaction to last week is frankly farcical. I’m all for protecting players, minimising foul play, reducing hits to the head / neck but seriously this weekend was just farcical.

In a close game it wouldn't have been pulled up. Mountain out of a molehill.

As Robinson said, everybody calm down. The NRL have got it right, they must stop the head high tackles. I am glad that finally, we have stopped listening to the old "bring back the biff" players and are serious about stopping foul play. They will find the balance and get the accident vs reckless/intentional rulings right. I think it might be worth thinking about a 5 minute sin bin so the borderline hits are given a lesser penalty.

Im all for cracking down on serious acts of foul play, minimising contact with the head / neck but to officiate the way they have done this so called magic weekend was frankly farcical. We’ve gone from one extreme to another in the space of one round of footy and frankly it is embarrassing to run the game in this manner. Things that went unpunished last week resulted in sin bins and send offs this week, rightly or wrongly you simply cannot allow the game to be officiated in such a manner. There is a time and place to make game changing rule changes and doing so each and every week is NOT the time or place. I’m sorry but magic round was anything but magical it was farcical, pure and simple.

First game of ours I haven't watched in years. Just a really bitter taste in my mouth about the game atm.

I was pissed off in the seven games before ours given what I had watched unfold.

There was nothing in our game tonight that was off any surprise.

Moses had to go to the bin. No issues on consistency there.

Ese Ese had to be sent off given the new edict, albeit a week ago it was a penalty and being put on report at most. Poor bloke was just trying to put a big hit on which we all enjoy.

Then we get to the Liam Martin incident whereby the fend has been an integral part of the game since its inception but his initial contact bounces up off the chest and just maybe, perhaps it’s comes in contact with the head and we are rubbing out a contender for try of the season.

Vlandys need to be very careful with what he is invoking here because changing the rules and the fabric of the game each week as we go along is a very dangerous way of going about things.

Yes he can pass either way but he's fsr better on the right

We look better as a side with him on the left though. Kikau is too hot and cold and the pressure is all on Luai.

Right gets Yeo out there, Edwards and whoever is right centre out there.

Cleary throws those cut out passes then how much the right centre passes it means little

Not sure why you missed it but you probably didn't miss much.

We were at our best when we were down a man when Moses was in the sin bin.

We did some really good stuff but did some really dumb stuff too.

Laui kicking on the first tackle ain’t going to earn him any brownie points as far as Freddie is concerned that was a brain snap.

Obviously Nathan is another 3 points towards the Dally M clear stand out for MOM.

I guess JFH and Edwards fight it out for the other points. One gets two and the other gets one, take your pick.

The other thing I take out of tonight is Ivan needs to bring Spencer Lenui back into the 17.

I don’t know what he has done to lead to his demotion, obviously slept in and missed training by five minutes or whatever, hopefully that is all it was, but he is clearly one of our best 17 players.

Ivan needs to get him back in the 17 and give him 40 minutes minimum.

Spencer is a weapon but has been far underused thus far and we are doing ourselves a disservice by his omission. I’m thrilled to see J’Maine get a crack he has NRL written all over him but his time will come, in the mean t8me Ivan needs to get his top 17 on the field against the Bunnies and Spencer is part of our top 17.
